Default Quick jack question

I know this topic has been beat up some on here, but im seeing some conflicting information related to the quick jack 5000 TL. That specific model went on sale today through costco, and i want to make sure its the correct size for the c8 before i commit. Can one or more folks who has a c8 and utilizes this exact model lift please comment? Thank you!

TLX 7000 is the one I bought, works great. The TL 5000 has been reported to work, but does not reach the jacking points without QJ frame extenders.

Default Quick Jack TLX works with C8

Be sure to get the wall hangers.

Sorry to sidetrack - Do we need to purchase the pucks separately? I just bought the 5000 TLX with the wall mount, and want to make sure I have the right accessories, too.
Thank you very much

If you are buying one, why not get the one that is the proper length for the C8 ??? The standard length is 60" and the C8 distance between lifting points is 66" which is the longer version Quick Jack 5000 TLX, 66".

When I bought mine over 2 years ago, I chose the longer one. I use leave in lifting pucks in our C8, then it's super easy to align the Quick Jack with one of the hard rubber blocks to the leave in pucks on the car. It uses ALL 66" of the QJ.

I realize that there are plenty of folks using the standard length, 60" model, but if you haven't purchased one yet, I'd suggest getting the TXL.

Regarding the need for wall mounts....... while a nice thing to keep your garage floor un cluttered, I chose to leave mine on the floor, lowered, and pushed together. They are on the side of my garage that our daily driver, Hyundai Palisade sits on, but they would also easily go under the C8 too. There is enough clearance.....easy. Since we always have the cars in the garage, you don't use that floor space anyways. That way, it keeps our walls un cluttered for MORE pictures of Corvette related stuff......

By the way, if you happen to have plastic garage floor tiles such as SwissTrax or RaceDeck, the QJ slides like butter on them, making it super easy to move around on the floor !

YES. QJ comes with an assortment of several hard rubber blocks, but I would still put a set of LEAVE IN pucks on the car, should you take the car to a dealer for any service and they not have any pucks handy, as well as it's easier to align the QJ lift up to the proper lifting locations if you have a set of pucks installed. You can buy a set on Amazon for $32....... worth having.

As many have stated, the 5000 TLX is the one you want for a C8. The TL isn't long enough to reach the lift points - you would have to lift the car on a non-recommended point.

There are two things to add.

1) There is a roller ball mod you can add to your quickjack to make it easier to move. Check out videos on it. Some 3M doublesided tape, Harbor freight roller *****, and zip ties will make it much easier to position the quickjack.

2) When lifting a vehicle with the quickjack I've found that my 5000TLX works better and is more stable when positioniong the quickjjack with the sticker side on the heave end of the car. For the C8 the sticker side will be toweard the rear. (example photo in this thread on MarkMeHopeful's post)

I bought my 5000 TL at Costco in 2019 before getting the C8. Yeah, it's short; but it works just fine as discussed in other threads. The Costco price then was $999. Can't believe the cost inflation!

We lift our C8 on the shorter version of the Quickjack with no problems similar to many others that have posted.
Here is a link to one of those past posts that have a good picture, some descriptions, and measurements....

Yes I saw all pics on this post. I was asking about the other side on yours as it's NOT the ext model, but you mentioned it fits well. Wanted to see if the front fits...

The standard BLX5000 works perfect. The key is hitting the rear jack point, front hits the front plate, There are more ways and points to jack the car up safely other than the 4 jack points.
