Do I have the honors of being the first C8 with right front camera lens shattered? Seems like it's glass. Looking at a C7 thread for this issue, if C8 is similar, could be a pain to replace.

It might hurt the clarity of the camera or, perhaps, cause some image distortion since you are changing the radius of the lens curvature. But cheap enough to try.

I have a small piece of suntek react PPF on my camera lense. Zero distortion whatsoever on my PDR, and I'm sure it's probably already prevented some surface scuffs on the lens from dust/dirt/pebbles not to mention giant dragonfly strikes that practically chemically bond if not cleaned off immediately.

The front 2 camera lenses have nothing to do with the PDR. The PDR lense is behind the windshield.
Based on the picture, that is camera, that behind the lens that is cracked. He will have to tell us if the camera still functions but has a bad image because of the cracked lens. Ideally he could just get the lens, and it could just be popped out and in the bumper cover panel. And cost about $10
Got on the forum today and saw this post from 2022. My right camera lens is working but lens is cracked. Dealer wanted 600 for a new camera. Any fresh ideas on a simple lens replacement? Appreciate the help!

I haven't done anything with my camera, got used to it I guess. I'm bringing her in for service in a couple months and will get their opinion.
I don't disagree if clarity is not affected but i question whether or not it would save the lens from a rock strike large enough to break it. This happened to a friends ZR1, he debated all sorts of protection ideas and ended up replacing the camera and doing nothing else.

I'm going to do some more research. And I've asked the Corvette guru at my dealership to do the same . I'll keep you posted if anything fruitful develop.
