So, I've gotten used to his C8 driving habits. Same thing, same places. There's this one large intersection in town with a double turn lane. When he's on the inside lane, he needs to get around the turn, and then do a lane change quickly to pull into Harbor Freight's parking lot entrance. He easily bypasses the traffic on my side of the car to get out front to make it all happen.
Well, not long ago, we were sitting there, the green arrows show up, and we start moving. I hear the engine revving louder and louder, but the car moving beside me is still right there, keeping the same pace as us. As we go into the turn, our engine revs up even louder. The other car is right there with us. What's wrong with this picture??? Then, it hits me !! I quickly alerted my husband with a warning: "Wrong car! Wrong car! Wrong car!" We were driving our SUV. He immediately lets off the gas and starts laughing. We had to go a full block further to turn around to get back to Harbor Freight.
I understand if a person doesn't know where they're going, and happens to be in the wrong lane and signaling to move over, but it's sort of a jerk move if he knows he's going to Harbor Freight and still gets in the wrong lane to make the turn just to have to "gun" it to get around people and then brake to turn into the parking lot.
