3LT vs 2LT
Popular Reply
Middle grade seats. Better leather just in seating surfaces of those seats. Stitched steering wheel. Suede leather A pillars and headliner. Fancy stitching in headliner if coupe (not HTC). Higher grade dash leather that is more prone to peeling.
If you prefer the "dipped Interior" (full all adrenaline red or full all natural color interior) it's only available in the 3LT trim package.

Otherwise it’s subjective stuff like that. I Love the 3LT interior, but if I was pinched for cash I would be fine with 2LT.
As others have said it’s really like $3k if you opt for the much nicer GT2 seats. There are far more worse value options like paying $1k just to have black wheels, or $600 for painted calipers.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Don't blame GM, their choice. I had a 3LT C6 and 2014 C7. BUT GM got cheap in 2016 and made the 3LT look like a Patch Work Quilt! For my 2017 Grand Sport got a 2LT. I could not tell the difference in seat or dash "leather."
They hooked be back for the C8 with Natural Dipped. All "Dipped" and some other seat color combos are ONLY available as a 3LT. You can opt for the top GT2 seats with a 2LT C8 and get the only real animal hide, the seating surface made of Mulan, their proprietary name for faux "leather."
With the C7 never said what "soft touch materials" (as they called them) where except the seating surface of the top seat option. For the C8 they admit the seat bolsters in even the 3LT are Mulan as is the seating surface of the lower level seat. Oh there may be one other "real tanned animal hide leather" part, the small Mode **** Wrist Rest! ." The fake Suede is man-made like Mulan.
From posted info not sure what the C8 Mulan actually is made from. For the C7 it was reported from a leak to be Vinyl (PVC) with finely ground real leather scrapes as a filler called bonded leather. That allows it to be called leather. Does smell like leather! With all those burgers we eat as a county need to do something with all that leg, head and other real leather scraps!
All 3 Are C7 3LT. In 2016 GM got Cheap On All But Extra Cost Specials!
far to see it!

Here is list of upper trim items that get the Alcantra (suede-like):
Here is GT2 seat detail:
Here's what gets the alternative "leather" wrap - it seems nice to me - some owners have had delamination issues with the dash - which is claimed to be associated only with the upgraded "leather":
NEXT TWO ARE PHOTOS OF LT3 SHOWING UPPER TRIM - SKY COOL GRAY INTERIOR:
NEXT TWO ARE SAME CAR, BUT LT2, WITH SKY COOL GRAY INTERIOR, SHOWING UPPER TRIM. NOTE ITS QUITE DIFFERENT (THESE ARE FROM THE CHEVY BUILD AND PRICE TOOL - I ASSUME THEY ARE AN ACCURATE REPRESENTATION OF THE INTERIOR - I DONT HAVE AN LT2 TO VERIFY):

in my garage the Corvette is by far the least expensive car and I wanted the interior to feel up to standard. The leather in the 3LT is a huge upgrade both because it is a significantly higher quality and closer to higher end European cars, and also because you get the alcantara headliner and full leather (e.g. the lower sections of the dash and doors are also leather). And then you get the leather airbag. The steering wheel is the primary interface with the car and upgrading that is very noticeable too.
I rented a 2LT for a weeekend and while the car was great, I always felt the interior seemed cheap and betrayed that this is a 60k car Even though it cost more.

Please post a photo of your 3LT steering wheel for comparison. Thanks

"Mostly!" When I mentioned that in a post someone quoted from an article where GM Interior folks were interviewed. They very carefully said they used more 'leather" but without saying what was real OR their faux Mulan leather. When the word leather is used in literature you can assume Mulan unless specified as Napa or Nappa (same stuff) named from a tannery many years ago in Napa CA so I refer to it as Napa. All except one statement: GM Trim Design Manager was quoted as saying re the Wrist Rest: “We were focusing on making a surface that feels good to the hand ….There’s a Nappa leather version and there’s suede.” Only other reference to Napa leather I have seen other than the "seating surface."

But make no mistake, everyone loves my 3LT interior. I often get asked if I can give folks a ride around and they (as I do) are really impressed by the suede.
I have a car that I can road trip, take to a fancy restaurant, or to the track, and it's ready for any of those scenarios.
