Default Question about engine cover.

I see the option for a silver or red painted engine cover. If I don’t select that option, does the car come with a black unpainted cover, or no cover at all?

Car does come with an OEM cover which is gray and silver. very ugly i replaced mine with an aftermarket torch red from racereadypanels. really great quality and good customer service.

You could just also paint your engine cover yourself with $30 in spray paint. I did it, so easy.

Here's what the stock engine cover looks like. Pretty ridiculous to call it very ugly especially considering what most engine covers look like. Colored versions definitely look better.

I bought the edge red cover option, I would not buy it again. Too many other options out there, and the FS section normally has a couple up for sale. Like others I painted my original black cover for $35 in materials.

Personally I think the stock cover looks just fine.

I prefer the OEM Edge Red one much better. Of course it's just a personally preference thing.

Thanks for all the responses! I’ll likely skip this option.

Ditto to this. Lots of vendors sell beautiful covers. But for what they cost, I elected to do it my self and spend the extra $900 I saved on other crap.
