With all the exciting and popular flashy greens that the younger sportscar enthusiast seem to love, hard to believe GM pick this one.
As your statement says -text bolded in red.... younger sportscar enthusiast
Not everyone is young and not everyone likes flashy colors.... old folks still buy cars. I got my C8 at age 80 and had that green been available, I'd likely have bought one rather than Red Mist Tintcoat
You stereotype much? I'm diametrically opposite of your caricature... combat vet, Vette driver - DD - 31 years... white hair and beard, old man, hunter, shooter, reloader, traveler (58 countries and all 50 states) still working at 81 -- and - YUP - I like the green.
Doesn't sound like you are the one he pictured getting in the car.

Very true, I for example don't like the flashy colors or green, however one of GM's main golds in the creation of the C8 was to capture the interest and wallets of the younger sportscar enthusiast, thus you would think they would have chose a flashy tin-coat green as opposed to a drab olive green.
I posted these pics on another 2024 color thread, but thought I'd post them again here since it's a GREEN discussion.
These 3 pics are of the same wrapped car in different sunlight and with different wheels. It illustrates, as we all know, how a wrap (or paint) can look quite different depending on the lighting.
I'm another "old fart" and perhaps a stereotype of one of those old guys that likes old colors. Guilty! I like THIS GREEN:
Cacti green is a great example of a trendy color that will look dated quickly. I think that's why Corvette's oldest buyers are attracted to such colors...they don't have to worry about owning it long enough for it to go out of fashion.

My crystal ball says this green will make up about 1% of sales.
If they really want to attract younger buyers they’ll lower the price. The most popular car for the younger generations is the Honda Accord. https://insurify.com/insights/popula...neration-2021/

Sorry Walter: Satire is an extremely difficult form of writing to pull off. Since you were pejorative in your statement, we in the editing world call it a fail.

Would you really call than an olive green? Perhaps we need to wait to see it in the SMC.
I own a Mosport green '66. In 1966 it was a 'sissy' color but now it is a major attraction at car shows. I waited 17 yrs to buy this Vette. I think it will take awhile for the new color to catch on... Just my opinion...
