I own a Mosport green '66. In 1966 it was a 'sissy' color but now it is a major attraction at car shows. I waited 17 yrs to buy this Vette. I think it will take awhile for the new color to catch on... Just my opinion...
That color looks more like a very pale silver with a green tinge. This new green looks like washed out pastel, boogers, or baby poop depending on lighting. On the attractiveness scale I dont think this new color will fair nearly as well long term.
When we've been asking over and over for a green for the C8 we meant LIME green, not 70-80's family sedan yawn green.
Could this intentionally or not leaked information been thrown out there to accumulate opinions? GM dumped the brown family that didn’t work for most why not get feelers for the green family that many have requested before production starts. Just my thoughts.

I am not a candidate for a C8, but I had a pal that had a 67 or 68 Camaro Z28 that was Rally Green. It was a stunning color and would have made a great legacy color for the C8. They should have looked at their old color chips.
When Rapid Blue first showed up here in pictures, I didn't like it at all. But over time new owners posted pictures that showed it was darker than originally posted. Maybe it was the lighting of the original pictures, but I grew to like it when I saw it was actually darker than I thought. And when I finally saw one in person, I REALLY liked it.
Point being, I learned to reserve judgement on a given color until I actually see it. Pictures don't always tell the whole story, especially when you see a color in person & you realize it looks totally different in the sun vs the shade.
I like certain shades of green & I'm on the fence with this one. My initial thought is I don't like it. But it could turn out to be another case of Rapid Blue when more pictures get posted & I see it in person. Or not.

I like that color a lot on your '66.
Having said that, I think it would look even better if the ragtop was black. Just my $.02.
Mossport is indeed a great color. There was another similar Corvette silver green on the C3....very rare 1982. I like it. The color on the website image looks like the Santa Cruz mini pickup which is not metallic. Hopefully GM has something different in mind. But, I am not an electric car buyer in any case.
Completely! That's part of the satire. I like Green too just not this green. It's not a 'super car' green sorry. I don't really think the C8 was marketed to be next to your deer stand.
I don't like the color but I love the name "deer stand green"!
