Ok, I bought my C8 used with just over 11k miles. I know very little about its past. I did find a previous for sale ad from E-Bay earlier in the year at 10,5k miles, and the title transfer to me was from that state. The ad said if it didn't sell at his price he was selling it to a dealer so I assume it found its way here through auction.
Because of the ad I found out a lot about the car, the extra's, and he said had all service records etc... but what I can't find out is the services. I have joined the Owner Center, but it doesn't show any passed services, hell, it doesn't even show my trip to the Dealer to reset things when I swapped seats.
It does show that the 1st Service has expired.
So, question is, how best to get a service history? Is calling the 800# the best option?
Dealers are responsible for making service show in the Owners Center history. When I had my C7 my service history wasn't showing. I called my dealer and they said they weren't aware of how to make it show. Eventually they figured it out and my service history showed up and now shows up for my C8.
If services were performed at a GM dealer, you can have your local dealer pull a GMVIS report. It will show all services performed, and a lot of other information about the car.
