Anyone here use wireless earbuds instead to listen to their music? Some of the newer buds can be set to get external sounds at the same time so you're not totally isolated.
This is likely not legal.
At least in Washington State, use of headphones while driving is not allowed.
I'm going the USB route. I'm always using the phone for apps while driving, or the battery is low. I like the USB, once it is plugged in, it works. Then the phone is free to do anything else.

It's bad enough folks use their Cell Phones when driving, hands free or not. Now want to plug their ears! See folks all the time texting when driving. As they slow down for a Red Light where it's legal in SC to Text, watch TV etc when stopped -foolish. Light turns Green and they are oblivions! Just sit there thumbs going a mile a minute with phone on steering wheel.
I've never had an accident with another car in 64 years driving! In addition to Luck, attribute that to knowing where all cars are around me at all times. Have my Cell Phone set to not receive calls or silly Text beeps when moving. I do have my sound system playing 99% of the time from a flash drive with >1500 songs playing in shuffle mode. Don't have to take my hands off the wheel to change volume, skip or repeat a song. Use voice command the few times I want to hear a specific artist or song.
Young gal killed at a light on a 4 lane highway not far from my house. She was on a rural 2 lane road that crossed the 4 lane divided highway. An officer reported it appeared she was holding her phone and probably looked down when the light was Green. But in that intersection it's only Green for ~10 seconds. She went thru the light and a log truck going to the papermill hit her broadside. No way he could stop.
I'm all for Insurances companies treating Cell Phone use while driving like DUI. Won't happen so I'll continue my MO when approaching Red Light. I start crawling at ~3 mph a few hundred feet before I stop. Makes whoever behind crawl with me!
Nope not the ramblings of a guy who drives like the old man he his! Actually drive pretty fast where safe! Looking froward to beating the below peak "g" done with my C8 Z51 with my E-Ray @ 3000!
What music input sources does a C8 have?
I assume you can play tunes from your phone. Can you play music from a USB Drive?
My music library is on my desktop PC. Only a small portion of my music is on my phone, and when I am traveling I want to use my phone for a wi-fi hub, and Waze.
Can I copy my entire music library onto a USB and plug it into the car? Is there any trick to playing from a USB.
I'm very happy with the USB method. I have around 200 CDs I have copied to my desktop computer. They're backed up to an online backup solution with everything else. Copied to two small USB devices. One for the Corvette, one for my Silverado. Most of it is MP3, highest quality format. Pretty happy with the results. I can search by artist or album, or song, or genre in both vehicles. The only f'ed up thing was the 2014 Silverado wouldn't take the same 3.0 USB device the Corvette did. Had to get a 2.0 USB device.
