Hi Y’all!
I’ve been driving and occasionally tracking my ‘15 BMW 435i for 5 years or so. I truly heart my Bimmer. But it’s my daily driver and thrashing it on track is gonna wear it out sooner than I want.
So I have an opportunity to pick up a white on white ‘23 convertible C8 with 2LT trim and ~100 miles on it. What do think it’s worth and should I buy it?
Thanks!

Location of car.....asking because this "influences" price but my WAG is low-mid 90s.. Should you buy it? Only you can answer this. Best of luck.
I’m in N Carolina, US. Should I buy? Yeah, that’s my problem. Is it worth it? That’s the advice I’m looking for. Not sure it’s a good value, given some estimates of $78k-$89k for this setup. This one’s right in the middle. And it is super sweet and clean.
HTC's tend to run about 10k more from what I have seen. Not sure if any of this helps you decide on the value of the deal. For me, it would come down to specific options, do I have the money, and do I have the patience to find the exact right thing.

if it’s in between 78-89k so about 85k in my opinion it’s not bad it depends on options a 2LT HTC it’s about 80k msrp so if you like the color combination I say try to offer 80 and see

You sure it's not a flood car? Have it checked over thoroughly.
Do you know the MSRP, or the VIN? That will help a lot, since a 2LT can swing like $25k depending on options.

This. For all the talk that the C8 starts in the 60k range, most that sell here have plenty of options, plus demand, that goes up plenty from 60k. A 2LT convertible with essentially no miles is going to probably start around $85k in the used car market, and if the seller paid over sticker they may well be looking to get some/all of that back, too.
Haven't yet pulled the trigger - thanks for the comments
It’s a super clean “new” car that arrived at the dealer with 44 miles on it. Too new for flood salvage. The owner is trying to flip it for a profit but still asking only $85k. It’s got 2LT trim, front lift memory, performance exhaust, high wing and GT2 seats. the same dealer had a blue one last summer that sat on the lot for months. They said buyers are very picky about colors and options when it comes to Corvettes. Hmmm, ok. I’m not that picky.
I love my Bimmer and was thinking about replacing it with a 2018 to 2020 low mileage M4, which I could get for less. But that Vette is awesome.

MSRP on what you described above is $87k so if you like it and can get it for $85k go for it. Good luck!
BMW Coupes are a whole different ball of wax (I’m sure you know that). I just got my C8 about six weeks ago, so I’m new to the Corvette world, but I also have an M3 Coupe in my collection. The BMW is just such a great drive it anytime and anywhere kind of car. It has a six speed manual, and is extremely rewarding to drive. It’s at home on the track, on back roads, or on long trips as a GT. It’s an E46 (one of the last good looking M cars IMO), and gets love everywhere. I’ve had it since new, and have something like 105,000 miles on it so far.
The Corvette is a Z51 with magnetic ride and 3LT trim. It’s perhaps the most comfortable and fast GT I’ve ever had. It covered KY to NJ in ridiculous comfort. I was fresh when I arrived home after an eight hour last stint, and could have turned around and driven back. It looks awesome, it feels exotic, but it also has all of those niceties that take it from weekend only to everyday driver, should you want to. For me, though, I would not want to use it everyday and drive it everywhere. There is very little cargo space, and the seating and driving experience is tilted more toward exotic.
For an everyday car for everything, if I could have only one, it would probably be a 992 Carrera or an M4 (although I hate the M4 front styling). If you can have two or more, I think the C8 is terrific.
As much as I love my C8, I can admit its flaws. If you are used to, and LOVE, your BMW, you might be better off buying a used M4 or 911 as a track toy. Or turn the 435 into a dedicated track car, and use the C8 as your daily touring/sports car. The C8 is a great all around sports car, and yes it can do very well on the track. But it is not really a "track car", and it doesn't really have the same kind of feel that the German cars do. $90k puts you into a brand new M4 or Cayman.
Why would you be worried about trashing an eight year old BMW on the track and not share the same concern for a new C8?
Ha! I would be extremely concerned about trashing a new C8! Not so much for my old 435i. I could maybe get $20k for my Bimmer and I couldn’t even track the C8 for 500 miles (which wouldn’t take long). But I’d be very very nervous with it for a while, and would want a lot more practice with a less precious car on track. I’m still just a lower intermediate driver.
