You are the only one that can decide if getting a C8 right now is a good move for you. It is a major expense and if other things take priority, then you have made a good decision.

I guess there comes a time in your life when the excitement of driving a supercar is no longer worth the cost.
That's why I sold my C5 racecar years ago. Now a C8 street car is a happy compromise.
It does not take all of the time and money that racing requires. But I still get a thrill from my hands on the wheel, and my foot on the gas.
I'm 72, I hope I never lose that.

I know how you feel.
When my name came up to get the PS5, I was like, wait I have to spend almost $800 (after buying some games and additional controllers) for a game console that is two years old?
