Default 2024 Stingray C8

When will the 2024 Stingray C8 be available to order ? Do you think GM will bump the prices of the C8 to shrink the gap between the C8 and the other models ? If so, would you recommend purchasing the 2023 C8 now instead of waiting for the 2024 ?

Usually the order guide appears at the end o April. First consensus/ ordering cycle will be mid May for a late June or early July build. HOWEVER, the last couple years the new model order cycle has been all over the place. Use this only as a possible guide and attend the Bash at the NCM because most of this will be revealed then.

Will prices go up? Very likely, if not certainly.

As for GM attempting to “shrink the gap” Between the C8 Stingray and the higher performance variant, my question is why would GM do that? To what benefit to them or consumers?

As for a 2023, yes I’d get one if you can. It’s the 70th anniversary year (though I don’t think that has as much significance as major milestones like 25, 50, 75 etc.). Likely cheaper and the two model years should be virtually identical.

My bet is just like with 2023 when they did a fake small price jump at first then a bigger one 2-3 months later, 2024 will see average builds with base +options see a total of 4k increase give or take.

Regardless of the price, I would get the C8 as soon as possible. I have a ‘21 and I love it! I don’t know of ANY reason to wait for a ‘24 unless you are going for something other than a Stingray.

Egg prices went up 60%, if the C8 only goes up $1000, then it is even more of a bargain! Anything under 5% is awesome for future corvette owners.

Does anybody remember how shocked the public was that this C-8 started below $60,000 when it was introduced? Even at $70,000 it’s a hell of a deal.

Typically spring to early summer, however I have a feeling it will be more like August for the 24's. As far as GM bumping C8 prices for 2024, you can bet the farm on it. However even with a 3% -5% increase C8 still offers more bang for the buck than any other world-class sportscar it competes in the market with. As far as should you get a '23, only one knows that is you. I'm crazy about my '23.

I predict GM will extend to 2023 MY to early fall. That will do this to extend the availability of anniversary models. They can raise prices any time, don't need to wait for year change. And, although I am on the wait list for a new C8, I don't think it is a great bargain as some will say. Not a criticism of other's opinion, just mine. I'm still going to buy one but it's a hard check to write.

The major dealers reduce the price of the car by the amount of the increase so you pay the pre-increase price and pay any state sales taxes on the correct amount. Some dealers charge you the higher price and will then "refund" you the amount they get reimbursed from Chevrolet. This will not be the full amount of the increase and you pay sales taxes on the higher amount. Then there are dealers that won't give you anything.
The last GM Order Workbench my dealer sent me shows 1100 status and SRE but the one prior showed 1100 status and TRE (Retail Stock). Weird but I guess I'm price protected for MY23 which I hope to get in time before the MY24 switchover. 2023 should be the lightest weight C8 model year ever, confluent with my ordering a 1LT (the lightest weight trim).

I am hoping that the 24 has some new color options like Carbon Flash, Sea Wolf or Riptide along with a bump in HP.

1100 status means little unless your dealer has an allocation for you? As for weight, no major changes from 2020-2023…and who cares. Never been to a car show where the lightest car got a trophy…unless you’re going to track it.

If the bird flu affects C8 prices, we're all screwed.
