Default Dash Delaminating Issues

I don’t want to kick the dead horse again and again but does anyone know if GM has addressed the delaminating issues? I haven’t seen the thread discussed recently. Helpful and informative responses only please !

If my dash were to delaminate, I would take the car to the dealer for a warranty repair. That is how GM expects defects to be addressed.

It is still happening. As Bob stated above, GM will deal with it when it happens. They have not addressed it to put a stop to it though.

It will be handled the same way that GM handled the C6 delamination issue. They will not offer any extended benefit to the purchaser. I bought my C8 knowing how GM handles issues once the car is out of warranty. No great surprise.

It seems like it is only happening with the 3LT trim upgrade. I don't recall any issues with either the 1LT or the 2 LT upgrades.

Someone in another thread mentioned this only happens on the dipped interiors. That it wont happen on the tension/twilight blue.

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Has nothing to due with the color. It has to do with the type of adhesive that is used on the 3LT trim upgrade.

Not true...Here is a tension/twilight blue 3LT interior below sitting on showroom floor with 3 miles on it and dash is already delaminating!...

That's correct, no matter C6, C7, C8 it's 3LT leather dashes only. I've never seen/heard of a cracking-delamination issue with the 1LT/2LT dash.

It's hit or miss. I put a C7 LT3 through 100K miles through four Texas summers.... not a problem.

I haven't either, but keep in mind that not every 3LT/3LZ has the problem. May only be a matter of time though.

A nano ceramic windshield tint, say 80%, would help to greatly reduce heat and UV damage. If I had a LT3 this would be a must do.

With all of the delaminating posts I have read, C7's and now C8's, has anyone ever submitted the question to Ask Tadge, and actually got a response from him regarding the issue. I would like to see what he has to say.

I know most extended warranties exclude interior trim (which is what the dash is considered). I know the Chevrolet Protection Plan excludes interior trim.
