Default Quickjack

Hi all so I bought the Quickjack 7000 and got it all set up, but maybe I’m missing something. The jack is not long enough to hit both lift points at the same time. I was able to lift the car but had to choose either the rear lift puck or the front lift puck. I set it up to hit the rear one because of the engine in the rear. I’m sure lifting on the frame just behind the front lift point won’t hurt the car and it was stable when I lifted it but just wondering. Is it supposed to hit both lifting points? Sorry if it seems like a dumb question. Just thought I’d ask in case someone else decides to buy the Quickjack and it doesn’t hit both lift points. Thx

I have the 7000XLT model that has a 66" spread and hits both points. The TL version has a 60" spread.

Do a search and you'll find some helpful hints on making the 7000 work. That being said, you need an XLT or TL version with a 66" span to fit properly. But as I said, do a search as others have been able to make the standard version work.

Quick jack makes extensions for their lifts.

Unfortunately as you found out the 7000 is too short for the C8. You should have bought either the 5000TLX or 7000TLX but as mentioned in a previous post you now must buy QuickJack’s TL frame extension kit which increases the lift point spread. Before you buy the frame extensions call Quickjack tech support to verify they will then be long enough for the C8.

if you are able to return the 7000 do it then buy the 5000TLX!

I have the TL and it works fine, just check out some You Tube videos on trimming the blocks used in the front.

This is the 5000 TLX. Works perfect for the C8. 66" long.

Phil1098 used the 7000SLX successfully on his C8 even though its max spread is 60"

There are ways to use it, but if at all possible return it and get a 5000TLX. That will reach the lift points just fine. If not, search the forum and YouTube for how to place the lift blocks.

I have the standard length 5000TL and it works perfectly. The C8's rock solid up in the air. Just make sure you use/place your QJ under the rear jack point.

If your car is lowered, the extensions won't fit underneath unless you first drive it up on some boards or something to raise the vehicle to clear them.
This is why I got the 5000 "TLX" version which is about 1.5" less height than using a 5000TL with the extension kit added on.
