Knows the price of everything and the value of nothing. That is what my wealthier friends say when some social climber pulls out the mines bigger than yours bs. Extremely low class and incredibly ignorant. Money certainly does not buy class, especially those that must brag about their believed wealth. And doing it on a forum is beyond sad.

too bad the lessons you learned didn’t include reading comprehension. His post was not about I’m rich, it was about how things have changed. Either go away or grow up.
I was on Ferrarichat myself. Represented Rob a couple times. 2000yellow360 was my user name. I disagree. I’ve owned a few but my 430 has been a great car. The C8 is a lot more comfortable but isn’t as fast. There are trade offs in the vehicles. Last I heard about 100k in each Ferrari was for the F1.

I'm sure I saw your posts on there I was Carnut (in fact there is even a thread called Carnut's cars or at least there used to be) I owned 3 360's 2 430's and unless you have the fastest 430 in the world it is not faster than a C8. I have always liked taking cars apart (people thought I was crazy in 2004 taking a brand new Gallardo apart and making it RWD it was a terrible car in AWD) more than I liked driving them at least on the street. You see I am autistic which means I look at things without any emotional attachment (I can only fear one thing that is fear) and that does sometimes make my opinions seem hard for some to grasp since it is almost impossible for you normal brained folks to not have emotion involved in your decisions. I am not rich by some standards but there is nothing that I want that I cannot afford and there are quite a few cars that are coming that I want (Emira, Grand Turismo, the New Alfa sports car etc) but there is no Ferrari on that list. After over 30 years with the brand I have had enough of them. I feel the same way about Porsche's and I've owned 45 of them.

0-60 you’re right, but most of us don’t do standings starts. The performance is while rolling. There the 430 is faster. That’s my point.

Thank You. My post was either over his head or he doesn't process what he reads very well. My Gal has had a fabulous business career and can afford to buy what she enjoys with her own funds, no reason for anyone to get insecure about that.

I never thought buying a Corvette would put me among the rich and famous. I’m pretty much a working stiff my whole life. I never worked for anyone but myself and my craft was building homes I’m no billionaire like some here on these forums. I was thinking the Corvette was a working man’s sports car but apparently it’s now for the super rich tards who should probably stick with the exotic cars rather than mingle with us low life’s.
Without a picture no way to settle this. Only way to resolve is to screen shot your wealth account balance with pin to ascertain who wins Just saying. In the interim I will just continue to drive and enjoy my poverty C8. Oh ,the 3rd world problems.
Laugh at the guys in decade old Ferraris who paid less than a c8 to get the Ferrari badge so they can boast they are richer than others on this forum.
those are the same guys who new Ferrari owners cringe at as they walk up with their nose up in the air trying to be something they are not.
these wannabe snobs come to this forum to passive aggressively assert their false wealth behind a keyboard.
in the real world all this negative talk by Ferrari f430 owners never seems to rear its ugly head.
typewriter warriors at their finest.
we could as corvette owners acknowledge how wonderful all Ferraris are for pages and pages early in this thread to show respect to our fellow sports car owners even if they are different brands but that’s not enough…these internet warriors and owners of decade old rarely driven low mileage Italian sports cars eventually have to go on and on about how truly superior they are to people they know nothing about.
rather than be rude most of us prefer to smile and ignore the foolish internet ramble because we know from real world experiences in person none of you ever have a negative thing to say.
Keyboard warriors at there finest I guess.

[QUOTE=BlindSpot;1606325698]I agree with you!...also, who in their right mind goes 0-60 in 2.8 seconds on public roads? If they do, they won't last long.

A car is a car no matter who makes it.
they all have their differences, and for car enthusiasts, the C8 hit a home run for most peeps.
I like the C8 so now I am interested in getting a C7 and trying it out too.
If I was on the ball, I would have ordered a Z06 but I got busy and did not pay attention.
Did the C8 design engineers copy from Ferrari? I hope so.
I worked for a manufacturer and we had one test vehicle of brand A, one of B, and one of C.
That is called benchmarking. You cannot develop a leading design unless you know what else is out there.
Every design element is measured against the other brands. That's how you make a better product.
You shoot for making it better than everything else. Sometimes it looks similar.
As long as it does not cost similar, it's a winner.

I'm fortunate enough to have both a C7 and C8 and appreciate each for what they are. There are aspects of each that are better than the other but both are an absolute joy to drive.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
Slideshow: A Jaguar designer's personal project imagines what a modern front-engined Corvette might look like if Chevrolet revisited the golden age of the Stingray.
