First, I 100% get that this is a mass-produced, American made vehicle. However, for nearly $100k car one would come to expect certain things above and beyond a less expensive vehicle.
With that, I am going to the local Chevy dealer tomorrow for some other "nit-picking" items but want to know what to expect when it comes to this.
Two images:
Right fender to front is good to go (green check and circle)
Left fender to front is visibably not aligned (red x and circle)
So is this even something that can be "adjusted"???
I think they could do more damage, then good, if they start adjusting panels.
As far if its something that can be adjusted, you'll get your answer tomorrow at the dealership.
Yea I would leave sleeping dogs lie. The dealer could make it worse. This is why the C8 is less expensive than comparable sports cars. Is that raised area a paint run or a bubble? If it’s a bubble worry about it if it’s a paint sag/run look the other way.

I agree with this, as I wouldn't want to risk them scuffing the paint thus having to then deal with a paint match issue as well.
I do find C8 body panel alignment MUCH better than generally found on the C7.

Its neither, i think that is some weird *** shadow due to lighting. The actual paint is flawless
I purchased my C8 in black to help hide the sizable body gaps necessitated by the fiberglass/composite material which swells and contracts more than sheet metal. The 911 has the tightest body gaps in the industry. You get what you pay for! The plus side is I don't get door dings, and park anywhere I want. If I had a 911 I would have to park out in the boonies! It's a trade off which I am glad to make!
Yep, it is what it is with cost and the car being fiberglass composite instead of stamped steel... Something I have just accepted after coming from japanese cars.
These cars are not bolted together with shims and stuff like in the old days. Many of the panels are plug and play according to the assembly videos I've watched. Guarantee the dealer will make it worse.
That picture is close up and may make it look worse than it is. What does it look like from eye height, let's say if you're 5'10'' and a couple feet away from the vehicle?

The alignment is 1/8"-3/16" off - I have not measured it. I am just super OCD and notice all kinds of things that average (non-OCD) people do not see or care about.
Yeah, it’s not worth it to adjust. You could take it a dealership with morons working there and mess up your car even more.
If you really look at the car, there’s many things wrong with it! American made… lol. I’m okay now with the tiny flaws on my car. I’m just going to enjoy it.
My vote: Leave it alone.
FWIW
I too think the dealer could do more damage.
As one example, how will you feel about witness marks on the bolts, nuts, and screws?
I had a similar problem with my 2022 HTC. One side of the tonneau cover gap was wider than the other. Took it to the dealer and their body shop manager advised against trying to adjust it. He said that (a) it was within factory acceptable tolerances and (b) he doubted that they could make it better (and it might get worse!).
My C7 had a few panels I wasn't real happy about so I brought it to my dealer. Their collision department addressed the fitment issues I had and did a great job fixing them.
My C8 has absolutely no panel fitment issues so there is no reason to feel that they can't make it right for you.
