I sure hope that you didn't think that was my actual picture of the Tx oil on my garage floor. As I mentioned in the post, the oil looked like an amoeba so I posted a picture of an amoeba. Duh.

I guess I would have got it if you posted a picture of a coffee cup also. Just guess I didn't see the need for a picture of an amoeba.

Owned my 2012 Roadglide for 10 years. Put 25k miles on it. It was a perfect bike. Not a single issue.

Amoeba was the first thing that came to mind, but your suggestion is better - that what is so good about this forum - learning other ideas.

The actual oil on my floor was more of a clear color.
I'll know and report back after tomorrow.

Being that i posted it, it was obvious to me, but that was lost on some. One never knows how what you say or post is going to be taken by others. Sometimes one has to go that extra mile coffee cup.

Going to dealership soon. We'll see if it was all in my imagination. Insert memes here.

Oh Well

A Service Bulletin was issued 4 months after my Tx was resealed last April that says that if the Tx leaks again after reseal, a Tx replacement is in order. Apparently there is a "plug" on the backside of the tx that is part of the manufacturing process and oh well - it failed on mine.

So I left my Game Changer and after they receive a new Tx they will do the R&R.

That is what a warranty is for. No complaints here. I'll leave that to others.

I'll update when all is done in a week or so.

BTW, the 2 seals that were replaced were OK.

Coincidental the technician working my tx r&r is the same one working the camshaft timing gear problem.

@C8J - Sorry to hear that your Game Changer is having a second round of Transaxle leak issues. Glad to learn that your Corvette Technician diagnosed the source of the Transaxle leak, but unfortunate that it requires a Transaxle replacement. I was going to suggest that you have your CT check for Case Porosity which was the final un-repairable source Transaxle leaks on our 2020 C8, which also required a Transaxle replacement.

The up-side will be that your Game Changer will have a NEW Transaxle with the latest design up-grades (a better Case, Bottom Pan, Side Cover Gasket, etc.). The then NEW 2021 Transaxle installed in our 2020 C8 has been leak-free (dry & dusty) after 4,500 miles and 100+ Autocross runs.

The minor down-sides are that you will have to do another 1,500-mile "break-in" period for the NEW Transaxle and depending on your current vehicle mileage, could "mess-up" the Transaxle Service intervals by vehicle mileage for the First Canister Filter Change (now needed before 7,500 miles on your NEW Transaxle) and the 3-year -or- 22,500 mile Transaxle Fluid replacement schedule. Ask your Service Advisor about any needed adjustments to the Transaxle Service intervals by vehicle mileage and also see if they will throw-in a free 7,500 mile Transaxle Canister Filter replacement on the NEW Transaxle for your trouble... we forgot to ask for that.

I also suggest avoiding any visits to the shop while the Transaxle replacement is in-progress... the amount of required vehicle disassembly is rather extensive and seeing it will inflate your customer anxiety levels.

Good luck with the Transaxle replacement on your Game Changer and keep us posted on developments.

Does the breaking on new replacement Tx include variable speed or was that just for the engine?

Possibly run through the gears at times?

The variable speed is probably as much for the transmission as it is for the engine. The ring and pinon (and perhaps CV joints) also need to be broken in and running through the gears doesn't change their speed.

Just apx 100 miles on mostly Rural (30-45mph) and a little interstate (70-75) roads to waste some time (went to a XX dealership (not automotive) that had nothing, but said they did). Took the C8 so accomplished 100 of the 500.
