Am I the only one that feel like the c8 is so quick that you really can’t enjoy it the way you want? The speed limits here are anywhere from 35-45 and as soon as you step on it a little it seems like you’re at 55-60 lol. It’s a very fun car, I just wish it was somewhere I could take it to really open it up while also being safe.
Our interstate highways here in AZ have posted speed limits of 75mph and traveling at 80mph is the norm...Also, Cops here in SoAZ usually won't pursue and ticket unless you're traveling well over 10mph over. which I try not to do often...I do find that I get the most thrill and excitement while accelerating onto the freeways...ha!

I think most everyone has a place or knows roads around them they can have some responsible fun not necessarily under the speed limits. I live just a few miles from a really mountainous area, there are many miles of twisty roads where you might see 2 other cars an hour not during rush hour times. Most are other people out enjoying a drive like you. No stretch of the road are you going to get to 100mph or anything crazy, but you can def enjoy the car to it's limits in the 55-80 mph range. Tons of hard cornering and hard acceleration out. It's all the experience you need. Explore a road map in your area and see what you can find.
Ha ha - this reminds me of the Chevette automatic diesel that I borrowed many many years ago. Everything that you did was "on the limit" and it was educational to learn to be super smooth in corner entry and exit to maintain speed.
OP has a good point but I'd like to add that cars are so competent these days that it really is a challenge to find places to exercise our fun cars. Even those that canyon carve probably don't get to 75% of a car's braking or cornering limit. That's why track days and autocrosses are so much fun for me.

You should check out Track Night In America , there are several locations across the country you can take your car to a race track and test your limits and the car in a controlled environment .
I own cars the like Alfa Romeo 4C and the Lotus Evora 400 (which is a great gearshift car) as well as 2022 Golf GTI (manual) and also much more powerful cars like a one of a kind 650hp 2216lb 911 with no traction controls (it is nicknamed the widow maker). I taught people to drive fast (and how not to die) many years ago and the first thing I taught them was how to control a car without nannies. The C8 is a great car for someone with average skills and it is easy to drive fast (that in itself makes it just a bit less fun). I have said this before on here I was born a bit different (and long before they knew what autism was) and the only human emotion I can truly feel is fear, so I almost never drive any of my sports cars with traction controls on (and in the case of 911 it has none to turn off). While I don't recommend trying to drive without nannies to those who have not taken driving courses, you may like me have a large office park near your home that is empty on weekends. I have cones with suction cups that I set up and test (the limits of myself and the car) whenever I buy a car (other than an SUV). You might be surprised just how much more you will enjoy your car when truly know how to control it even at lower speeds the feeling of bringing the tail in or controlling a slide can be quite rewarding or at least that was what those I taught told me. You paid a lot of money for your cars it would be a shame to not have the skills to fully enjoy them..
I thought it was me but I feel the same as OP. Thanks for saying it.
Just taking it on the highway and whomping on it is not fun. I would like to drive it on Pikes Peak Highway in Colorado
You might find it fun to drive to the top in a Corvette. But going uphill in a regular car or an suv with a big hood, as you approach the curves going up, the side of the road disappears, and all you see is sky off to the right. You know there's some road there but don't venture too far to the right....it's, it's....exhilarating.
You bought a high-performance sports car knowing you have such low speed-limits... everywhere? If so, learn to control yourself or take your car somewhere you can safely drive it faster, via competition or legal limits.
Do you have any country roads near you? I have the most fun going to and from my golf course with my C8. It's all country roads that are in great shape with no city potholes. There are many twisty sections but also long open straights where a quick run up to 100 mph plus is very easy and safe.
