The LT6 has had no more problems than the Stingray LT2 (4 or 5 out of 2500 units). The tires on Z06s that customers can actually buy (the non-Z07) has the same PS4S ZP tire compound (different sizes though) as the Stingray. The Z06 standard brakes do not dust any more than the Stingray Z51 and my CCBs dust way less. Looks are opinions and many like the Z06 style overall better than the Stingray.
And that’s why the 1st thing I did when I got my Z51 is dump the tires for all seasons and installed Carbotech brake pads. Just as many prefer the base model over the Z06.

I have the CCBs so no dusting problem and with the ERay coming AS tires would be available for the Z. Many don't need or care for the added performance and cost of the Z06, so do.
I wouldn’t even consider a Z06 with its problematic engine, soft tires that pick up everything on the road and brake dust covered wheels. Also the stock C8 has a better front, where as the Z06 looks frumpy.
No reason to trash the Z06 just because you can't or don't have one. Besides most of the issues you state above apply to the Stingray / Z51 as well as the Z06.
I just passed on an a Z06 allocation today at a local dealer. I was surprised when the dealership called. In a way I'm sick but in another way I'm relieved. Money is not an issue, but it always is. I have a C8 and I love it. I'm not sure this beast is the car for me at least now. I have a low allocation at another high-volume dealership. At this point I dint think 160k was the way to go. But I'm still sick.
$160,000 ? OP, how much of that was ADM? Personally, I wouldn't even placed an order must less purchased a Z06 at over MSRP.
I do believe there's some misconception out there as to what Z06s actually cost, especially at MSRP. I've got a good spot on McMulkin's list and my build of a nicely equipped Z06 coupe (2LZ, upgrade wheels, engine appearance package, red calipers, stealth interior package, carbon flash mirrors / splitters etc) is just over $122,000. A Bargain IMO, as far as high performance sportscars go.

Fully loaded..........they are around $160K no ADM needed to hit that price. Thus the dilemma vrs a Stingray. More HP, a little faster but where do you exercise it?
At the track (road course or drag strips) and at other performance events. I had over 900 legal miles at 150 MPH or above on my 09Z, hit 201 MPH and did at least 2 dozen road course days.

Yeah of course, fully loaded, however $150,000>$175,000 is always the cost I hear thrown around which is simply not true as you can get a 1LZ for under $115,000. I'll wager that the typical MSRP / sticker price on a new Z06 is around $130,000ish.
Something like 70%+ of Z06s sold so far have been 3LZs with lots of options so $150K+ is probably quite accurate, with ha high take rate on HTC. It would be even higher if Chevy had been able to produce all the Z07s the early market has demanded and been left hanging.

If your rationale hinges on “not being able to exercise it on the street” then virtually any performance car is a waste of money, including a Stingray.

As expected there will be scores of guys "passing" on an allocation to order when their turn comes up. Absolutely no surprises here what so ever as there are more reasons to "pass" than can be easily listed here. $160,000 Corvettes will certainly not have an infinite number of guys with the resources to purchase beating down the door.
Anyone with the ability to pay will eventually get one just as it was with every other genration of Z06.
I had a 2022 C8 waiting for a Z06. It had power it was quick. But no comparison to the Z. The Z96 to me feels like it has 50% more power. To each his own
I also passed on the allocation a couple months back. Couldn't justify $50K over. And with the Twin Turbo C8 already in the garage, i remembered a very wise saying..."Happy Wife, Happy Life!"
The Karens of this world will shoot down many a C8 Z06 dream. That is how they roll and a major factor that never gets considered or even mentioned when the "my spot on the list just came up" is discussed.

I agree! That’s why I think my corvette days are coming to a close! Good to be old in regard to being able to have exercised one’s sports car years ago. Way less traffic and easier to not get caught. I live close to ga. They have a super speeder classification for 20 over. Big dollars and your car is confiscated.
Many cars and trucks have more hp than any of us need on the roads.
I’m not a waxer nor do I need to stoke an ego. Time will tell…. I looked at new cadis….. they are pushing 4 bangers. Not ready for that either!

Very low optioned/stripped down Z's are hard to resell.

I hear you....i just bought a new FORD Raptor with their HO Twin Turbo V6 and right now it is giving me more smiles than you could ever imagine. All the function of a truck and fast as #$%^ when I need/want. (0-60 under 6 secs) and it is sexy AF.....
