How easy or difficult it is to take the boomerangs out for painting?

They are held in by nuts and double faced tape. Door panels will need to be removed to remove the door portion.

Be very careful removing the lower portion of the boomerang. I don't know about previous years, but my 2023 had a 1 inch wide piece of two sided tape running along the front edge of the piece. It was difficult to get the tape to release. If you pry too hard, it may crack. Don't ask me how I know! Anyway, it was easy after that. I also painted the front grill trim, side skirts, and front spoiler. Here's my post on painting the pieces.

I just replaced mine last week. I wanted CF instead of my red ones.
For the top part, you have to remove the door panel. It’s pretty easy, just a bit awkward at times.
The back part is super easy 4 bolts and some double sided tape.

Doesn't sound too difficult, just could be a bit time consuming getting the tape released.
