Is there something that was sent out to owners about this update? I don't have a lot of experience with GM cars so I am curious how they inform owners about updates if at all.
I recently had my 2023 oil changed at the dealer and according to them, there was no dealer updates for my car. I had two (2) over the air updates since I purchased my car last July.
Curious if an update came out after my service several weeks ago.
I'll call my dealer next week but I was not aware we ever had to go in for an update. I assumed it was all possible via OTA
Only some things are updateable by OTA, not everything.

GM rarely notifies owners of updates or TSBs unless it's something critical. Even the LT6 "ticking" issue and the earlier C8 wheel porosity issue didn't generate owner bulletins.
I picked up my C8 in late April and haven't had a single OTA update. When I try to update it says nothing is available. Normal? How often do these come out?

There's no regular schedule, and not every update applies to every car. Most of the changes incorporated in updates so far were probably included in your car when it was built.

Got mine in early May, checked for updates today, same thing, nothing available.
I had mine at the dealer 3 days ago for the rear park assist module and an alignment. I asked them to check the updates for me because the latest one keep failing for whatever reason. They were able to update it, and below are the 4 updates I've had so far on my 22' HTC (built 3/22)
MyChvrolet app notified me this morning that “Important Update GM N23-241010A” was available. I’ll do it next time I’m out for a drive. That is the first time the app has said anything about an update. I think this is my third update on my early 2021 model.
It also says the update includes the following: “Updates made to the overall vehicle software update process.”
