HI, everyone!
I just picked my C8 up on July 1st and thinking about getting a security camera.
I do use built-in drive recorder while driving but when I park my C8 on a street or public garage I kinda get nervous all the time.
So main reason for getting a security camera is to feel safe when my C8 is parked on a street or public garage. BUT of course it can be used as a secondary drive recorder. (As I mentioned I used a built-in drive recorder while I'm driving)
I did spent so much time on researching it but can't find the right one. If you guys have some good idea please let me know.
I run a Blackvue DR900X 2 channel system. You can run it with a battery backup for parking mode so you don't drain your car battery. Been very happy with Blackvue dash cams.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I'll look at it
I have a Garmin Dashcam Mini 2 attached to the windshield just to the right of the overhead console where I can't see it from the driver's seat. Then I've got an OBD-II port adapter to keep it running after I stop the car. But I bought that adapter before I'd taken delivery and didn't realize the diagnostic port was located where I'd occasionally kick the adapter. So I'm considering installing a simple battery adapter instead.
Whatever you get it's probably a good idea to make sure it has a polarized lens, or at least the option to attach one since you'll get a lot of reflections off the dash.
Be careful with the Viofo's. I have an A129 Pro Duo 4K in my wife's Outback and it will overheat and restart at times. Doesn't handle the heat as well as my Blackvue units.

The ring and junky chinese cheap ones are all crap. You will pay hundreds for a decent one and backup battery. Get it professionally installed. I have cams in four of my vehicles, all professionally installed (don’t want wires hanging down or plugged into the cigarette adapter). I don’t have battery backup as I’m ok with parking, I only care about ******** driving, thus I have 3 channel cameras. Get the full Blackvue setup.
