Ha ha I wonder which one Jerry is talking about? Again they all seem to have pros and cons so a lot of times its the money. I didn't want to spend that Scrape Armor money but I would rather have a form fitting guard, protected edges, and with all brackets (even using tape). Than something with open edges and tie wraps. Again once you decide how you want it to look and how much you want to spend, watch some install video's. Then pick the best one that checks all the blocks for you. For me it was Scrape Armor hands down. Good Luck.
There are NO exposed edges. All behind the OEM grill. With the approach many of us used of removing the same 3 bolts that require removal with the Scrap Armor mesh, NO Zip Ties show! All hidden behind the OEM Grill.
Pic below is one example. The CCG is very ridged mesh. It fits tight again the OEM Grill.
Mine looks very professional, no edges or Zip Ties showing! Been that way for 3 years and it only allows, half the size bugs as Scrape Armor. Mine are black power coated a $10 extra over the $59 for the 16 X 48-inch sheet I bought. Can make or buy precut for the two outer openings or all four front openings for 100% protection! To have no Zip Ties show do need to remove the same 3 bolts as the Scrape Armor install. NO 3M tape brackets on mine, as used by Scrape Armor. Zip ties and all edges all hidden behind OEM grill.
One place, once the OEM brill bar is unbolted and slipped out of the oval slot where a Zip tie was used and NOT visible once the grill Bar was back in place.
15 minute install - under 100 bucks. Drove 4 hours yesterday in the 90+ degree heat and never saw temps over 175 or so on either oil or transmission temp.
