Not many people are going to be able to modify the car's software, and without doing that it's effectively impossible. Maybe I should say "extremely difficult at best, and impossible for most."

I would not call what you do a hobby. You are working at a level well above that. It is an art form! Hobbyists look at what you do with envy and admiration!
