2020 Corvette of the Year Finalist (performance mods)
C4 of Year Winner (performance mods) 2019
Only thing I've seen have been limited reports of the cable that opens/retracts the headrest covers snapping, which then won't let the top close properly (can be fixed temporarily with a zip tie to close it). Overall it seems to be a very good system, I put mine down/up a lot and have not had any issues at 8K miles. If you like open air driving, I'd highly recommend doing an HTC. Way better than a coupe with the top off as you can raise/lower the top while driving (or sitting still) from inside the car in just a few seconds, and makes it so much more convenient for putting it up/down when stopping somewhere, sitting at a light, etc. Plus you don't lose any storage and the rear window can be lowered with the top up (great feature).

What he said. My 2021 has 20K miles and the top goes up and down almost every time I drive, weather permitting. Yes, that cable is an issue, but it seems to be relatively rare.
23 HTC no issues or worries, I do get a lot of people asking about the car and everyone that stops loves it. I get more people asking about my Corvette than my Lotus and that is strange in a good way.

Have this problem right now. Dealer visit tomorrow.
23 HTC here. I put my top up and down almost everytime I drive weather permitting and I have had 0 issues. I wouldn't tempt fate doing it while moving on a bumpy road though. Would get the HTC everytime, its top tier quality.
You can do a quick search and find that there's a few threads that have been created regarding HTC problems but this one below had the most participation....
