Acoustic Windshield The vehicle is equipped with an acoustic windshield. If the windshield needs to be replaced be sure to get an acoustic windshield so you will continue to have the benefits an acoustic windshield can provide

It’s not, very slight. I didn’t more so for the heat reduction. I got ceramic and it makes a big difference.
Went w/ PRIME XR PLUS+ (Medical Grade Nano Ceramic)- 70% on the winshield & 20% on sides & rear. Toyed w/ 55% for the winshield, but went more conservative. I'll know first hand when I pick it up next week. It just icing on the cake after a 2.5 year wait list @ MM (MSRP)

Interesting! I wonder if this is another "new for MY24" feature?! Can anyone confirm their 2024 windshield is marked as Acoustic Glass in either of the bottom corners?

I’d be more concerned with all the water that is squeegeed out that runs down the windshield and goes behind the dash. I know people get it done all the time but it’s the thing that stops me from having the front windshield tinted.

I've had the windshield tinted on at least 7 different vehicles that I can remember right now and never had any issues whatsoever. The only water issue I've ever had in that area is on a 2019 Jeep that had an improperly sealed firewall so melting snow on the cowl will drip down into the passenger footwell (later corrected by a TSB under warranty) They had to strip the interior and replace the entire carpet liner as well due to mold that had occurred from all the water accumulation.

That same thing is on page 260 of the 2023 Owners Manual but says nothing about what an acoustic windshield actually is. Weird stuff.
It all depends what year c8 you have .the 2024 has that front radar detection and my tint guy said it might interfere with the signal
.so I tinted only to where the radar is on the windshield wich is right by the rear mirror line .
So how much does it cost to get the inner windshield tinted?
Really depends on the shop and quality of film used, but for the windshield alone estimate in the $100-200 range. I can pull my paperwork if you'd like an exact number, but being that we're in totally different regions it likely wouldn't matter much.
