Completely and utterly incorrect. I have spent hours programming the MoTec Drive-By-Wire (DBW) setup of my race car to get the throttle feel just right. I have different curves for the 2nd and 3rd gear than I do for 4th, 5th, and 6th. These changes make a huge difference on drivability and a significant difference in lap times.

Question:
Not using the phone app, can I disconnect the control display unit and store it, or does it need to stay connected to the wire?
I realize if disconnected I will obviously need to attach the wire to change levels, etc..
Wasn't sure if it needs to be wire connected 100% of the time or not.

You can plug in the display, make your adjustments, then unplug it. The adjustments are saved until changed again.

Love mine and have it on sport 6. I like the ability to disable the pedal which is a great feature. Kind of a built in theft deterrent device.

Does this over ride the setting for each drive setting? If in tour, will this over ride the tour setting to leave all settings in tour but for the Solar setting? If in track can it over ride the track setting for the pedal to a lessor response and leave the others alone?

Yes - it just adjusts the input from the throttle to the computer. Completely independent of drive mode settings.

You are missing the point and clearly have not tried it. Bottom line is the car FEELS faster and more responsive compared to stock, period, end of story. Regardless of the reality of what it's doing, and fully understanding it makes ZERO impact on actual performance, none of that matters because it makes the car so much more fun to drive. This is simply the BEST $200 or under mod you can make to the car, period.

Agree 100%. I was a total non believer/hater until I couldn't stand it and finally got one for my ZL1 1LE..........30 seconds into the first drive I couldn't wipe the smile off my face. When I purchased my C8 I had already purchased the Soler Throttle Controller. I literally drove the car home from the dealer and installed it immediately. From here on out, I will ALWAYS have this on my sports cars!

Default Soler controler Install issues

Well tried to install the Soler Controller today, after watching multiple videos and working on it for over an hour, its still in the box. I have no problem removing the pedal, however my wife and I were unsuccessful in removing the plug from the gas pedal, broke the red locking mechanism on the plug. We both tried multiple times to no avail. Anyone know the secret to getting the plug disconnected from the pedal. Everyone on the videos made it seem like it comes right off.

Once the red slide lock is up, squeeze where they meet and pull up… pretty basic. Just make sure you’re squeezing and pulling up at the same time.

Has anyone tried or heard of the version made by “Pedal Boss”, it has the same connection method and modes.

I'm thinking about setting mine to sport 4. It's on sport 5 now and feels a bit touchy for me. But, I really like the feel of the throttle response. Very cool addition for sure.
