Mine probably spent a week on the truck. It made a 3 day stopover (for whatever reason, doesn't matter) in West Virginia en route to Maryland. I do not believe a 2 week hold is "standard". As said above, I think they wait till they have a truck filled with vehicles that are going in the same direction. When mine came in and was ready, I was traveling, so mine spend a few days at the dealer as well. That just how this goes. Don't plan on perfect timing.
Curiosity here...
Nothing to do with QC, but I always wanted to know who loads the trailers at the plant?
Are they loaded by the driver who delivers the cars or does the plant have someone load trailers
and then the driver just hooks up and goes on his way?
To me it would be interesting how the cars are sorted out and lined up in the lot after assembly.
Maybe a question for the BASH !

At the other end, I recently watched a Z06 being unloaded at a local dealer. The truck driver did it. And then drove it toward the vehicle showroom. Eventually a dealer rep came out and greeted the truck driver, but for a while there was not even a dealer rep present. Interestingly, there was a local police car observing the unloading process (from their car). I don't know if they were on break or there officially. Its not at all a section of town that would normally require a police presence. There was also another flatbed truck standing near by. I wondered if the car was going to be loaded back up and shipped to another location - but I did not stay long enough to find out.

Once the car is built a Cooper employee takes possession and they load their own trailers. Once a trailer is full going one way it leaves BG and they only care that it’s full, they can get to their final destination to empty it on the way, and then go somewhere close to the final destination to load the trailer to bring it back. Drivers are domiciled in locations near where they pick up loads.
If you see one stopped at a certain location for days it could be so the driver does not violate DOT Hours of Service regulations or to fulfill their contractual obligation. Once the driver leaves a location Cooper monitors them to keep them on schedule. Cooper is a huge transport business and moves Ford, Toyota, and other smaller customers.
I had an audit car, which doesn't have anything to do with the alleged two-week hold, but it did sit at the factory after joy rides around Bowling Green. My car was produced 25 AUG 2023 and I took NCM delivery on 11 SEP 2023.
That's funny I just ran across this. My 23 Anniversary Edition was built on August 25 my birthday, and our anniversary is Sept 11. However I didn't tale delivery of mine on Sept 11.
