Default Trident wheels
My 2024 C8 is ordered and a few months away. I ordered it with the base wheels because the Tridents are no longer an option. I have found a set of Trident take offs, but have heard of issues with them cracking. Can anyone chime in on this issue or was it just a bad batch? If they are cracking, where should I look? I lived through the C7 GS/Z06 cracking rims and don't want to revisit that again.

Two sets of Tridents, both are fine. There was a porosity issue with early wheels of all types. Look at the wheels inside and out for any thin areas that look like little holes. Google the subject and you will find many pictures of faulty wheels. They were recalled but surely some are still out there.

Never heard of cracking on tridents and the porosity issue was fixed years ago !

19k miles and no issues. I'm fully lowered and have slammed into some nasty road flaws as well.

​​​​​GM fixed the deficiencies that cast C7 wheel experienced.
