Is there anyway of locking the stingray without using the key fob? Other cars you can touch the doorhandle and it will lock the vehicle. I just don’t see any way to do that on the vet. Am I missing something?

You can set this via the MyChevorlet app or within the infotainment system in the car.

After you swing the door open to get out of the car, push the lock button on the door. Get out of the car and close the door. The car will be locked.
I just learned from the forum that you can press the door lock TWICE on the inside panel, when you get out. It will lock and arm the alarm after shutting the door.
Might be a delay???

I only push mine once when I get out. Its locked when I shut the door. To be clear, I have never enabled any of the automatic locking features. I do not want my car to lock or unlock unless I take a specific action. So this works in that context. Seeing your post, I looked to see what I could find about a double button push. I found one instance (could be more) that sounds like its in the context where an automatic locking feature is enabled - pushing once delays it - pushing twice results in immediate locking. But I never have to do any of that. I just open the door, push the lock button on the door once (no chimes), get out and close the door. It is locked.

I've been using passive locking/auto lock since the C6 and never had any issues. I also have it set on my wife's Cadillac ELR. One of the best features that GM has, although you need to make sure any passenger gets out within the time window (i.e. if your wife is going to sit in the car while you run in somewhere, leave the FOB in the car with her).
It avoids having to get the fob out of ones pocket. Automatic locking/unlocking (that I choose not to enable) also avoids that, and it appears to be its primary purpose. They are just various features that the car comes with. Among them is also the capability to use the fob for unlocking and locking if one chooses. Nothing wrong with exploring the various features offered and picking your preferred approach. Clearly, different folks prefer to set it up differently, and that is why the menu allows variations in the set-up.
I tried pushing the lock button on the door before I closed it (just for grins - I always use the fob). When I did it my mirrors didn't fold in although they do when I use the key fob (I have them set to fold using vehicle settings). Is that what you've seen?

I do the same thing, since C6, love the auto locking bc I always forget did i lock the car or not?
I use passive locking but you need to remember to either unlock the car or disable the motion sensor when you get out of the car with someone else in the car. My wife doesn't like it when I forget and she makes sure I know that...

That is how mine works as well. I just checked to verify. Single push on the inside lock button, close door, car is locked, mirrors are not folded. I prefer it this way - I'm not a big fan of routine folding of the mirrors - so I am fine with having a separate action required to fold them - namely using the lock button on the fob. I do not know if there is setting to change this behavior. Also, I notice in the manual, the fact that the mirrors do not fold when locked using the inside lock button seems inconsistent with the attached statement.
As noted, I have never changed or enabled any of the automatic locking and unlocking features - so no delayed locking, no automatic locking when I walk away, etc. Its just me, by I am really averse to seeing my car lock itself. When it is at home parked in my garage I do not lock it and do not want it locked. I mainly lock it in parking lots, and sometimes at car shows. And usually I do not want the mirrors folded. I might with a tight parking space, but then, that never happens because I avoid tight spaces anyway.
