Default Z Mode Dash Display

I've seen several videos of earlier C8's where the dash display turns to TRACK when the "Z Mode" button is pressed. I have a 2023 and when I engage Z Mode (customized to mimic Track settings with Sport braking) the dash always goes into the SPORT display.

I know I can set the dash to use the TRACK display for all modes, but I have mine set on Auto so the display is based on what mode I'm using at the time. Is there a way to get TRACK mode dash to come up when hitting the Z button or is Sport the default? Was that a running change to the software for '23 or am I missing something?

I have a '23 C8 Z51 and currently have My Mode set to a Sport Display and Z Mode set to a Track Display...

You need to go to display options and set display design "Link to Driver Mode"

Then when you're in either Z mode or My Mode for example you can select either Sport, Touring or Track display...You can also select what design you'd like to see in your HUD display as well...

Thank you. Exactly what I was looking for. Did the first part inking to Driver Mode. Didn't realize the second part where you could set Z or My Mode display individually. Exactly what I was looking for!

Tried the above. It works but in turn, the dash display will show TRACK for all modes which is not what I wanted. I wanted to be able to hit Z mode and automatically see the Track dash display, but keep the other modes (tour, my mode, weather, etc) inked to the driving mode. If I set the Z mode display to Track, it then shows in all the modes. I guess the '23 is not able to have Z mode do that. It shows in Sport mode by default. Bummer.

Interesting...I have a '23 and what I posted above allows for you to have either Tour, Sport, or Track displays selected for either My Mode and Z Mode....The other modes such as Sport and Touring still show their respective displays.

** You need to verify that when you're in each of the drive modes (Weather, Touring, Sport, My Mode, Z Mode, Track) that you have "Link to Driver Mode" selected in every drive mode...

Yup...

I suspect the OP did not go through each of the drive modes (Weather, Touring, Sport, My Mode, Z Mode, Track) and select "Link to Driver Mode" for each of the drive modes ...

I had to do this after the last update back in Sept changed all my drive mode settings!

Finally after f'ing with it a few times it took. I had to do it several times. Not sure if I set Z to TRACK and My Mode to SPORT first and then linked all the others to driver mode or the other way around, but I got it to work the way I wanted. I'll call it a win. Thanks again, guys.

Is there a setting that can get the CLOCK on the display without going to weather?

There is a selectable tile that has time and outside temp. The track mode display theme offers the most tiles.

Here is my set up. I use the track display theme because it offers the most tiles. But you can select the tiles for any display theme, using the display design menu accessed through the steering wheel thumbwheel and buttons.
