Hello All,
Trying to solve the problem of the Blindspot on my 2023 HTC.
The Replacement panoramic mirrors seem to be a great solution but a bit expensive and challenging to install.
Has anyone tried the 3M panoramic mirror glass that goes over your original mirror?
They retain most features, are certainly cheaper and easier to install.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Bert
If you adjust your mirrors properly there are no blindspots on most any vehicle. I learned the method years ago and eliminated blindspots. I have read that this method was created and adopted by UPS.
First lean your head against the drivers side window. Adjust side mirror to barely see car side in view.
Second, lean head as far right as you can and adjust passenger side mirror in same manner.
If you do this, you will find that as a vehicle in your rear view mirror disappears, it appears in the side view and as it disappears from side view it moves into your peripheral vision.
I have found the range of vision with the camera mirror is excellent...get used to using it!

I'm sure the panoramic mirrors would work but there is really no need for them. Also zoom the rear view camera all the way out for a wider field of view- when the top is up.
I have sandyeggo's on both mirrors. If I were to purchase again, I would probably purchase only the driver mirror, passenger mirror isn’t that much of a change that it’s worth the money to me. But the Driver mirror is definitely worth it, No matter how much you “properly“ adjust the mirror.
if you have Blindspot alarms on your car, it may not be worth it. But for a 1LT, the driver mirror helps a lot.
I have zero blindspots on the car. The rear view camera mirror is a godsend along with properly adjusted mirrors. As soon as the car disappears from the camera its right beside me in my peripheral vision.
Always adjust mirrors to be just outside of where you can see your car. If your rear fender or the door are visible in the mirror its not adjusted properly.
I have the sandyeggo's on both sides. They are great and work as they should. If when you put them on you do not press to hard you can try them and remove with dental floss if you don't like them. Better safe then sorry.
I have the SandyEggo mirrors on both sides of my 2LT and they eliminate any blind spots no matter how you adjust them and are well worth the money and very easy to install. They have cutouts for the "blind spot" monitoring that is almost useless because they only alert when a car almost directly beside you.

If your blind spot monitoring isn't going off until a car is almost directly beside you then they aren't working correctly. They are covered under the B2B warranty if you are still within that period. The owner's manual says they should cover 16' from the middle of the vehicle and mine do that if not more.

Here are instructions for adjusting one's mirrors to eliminate or minimize* blind spots.
I'm sure the Sandy Eggo mirror work. .I had similar ones on a couple of different motorcycles. (More necessary, since bikes don't have an "inside" rearview mirror.) You'll lose the defogging and dimming feature, though.
