DCT Filter question

On my dash when I scroll to maintenance I only have the Oil life and Trans fluid life but nothing listed for the Trans filter. The car only has.. 1700 mi on it, does the filter life show up after the first change at 7500mi? I have not been able to find an answer online.

What year is your car? DCT filter life wasn't added until 2022 or 2023.

The DCT filter is due at (mileage): 7,500 - 22,500 - 45,000...and every 22,500 thereafter.

Thanks, It is a '21, is there a software update that added it to previous MY's? Not a big deal if it wasn't.

MY21 does not feature DCT filter life, only engine oil, transmission fluid, and air filter.

It's really not that hard to keep track of what maintenance is due and when...

But then people need an app for everything they do now.

You're right. It's not a need to have but a nice to have.

Even if you have a filter life monitor (2023 on), you still need to pay attention to the actual miles on the car and the maintenance requirements. If, for example, you replace the filter early at say 3000 miles and reset it, its not clear that the filter life monitor will still tell you that you need to change it again at 7,500 miles - even though that is stated in the 2024 manuals. So far, there are not enough reports about how the filter life monitor works to confirm anything about it. There is thread about it started by @RKCRLR

I use it as a timer on when my clean my aftermarket air filters

I typically aim for ~50% indicated.

My car was manufactured 10/21 MY 22, and it also doesn't show anything about the filter life, just engine and trans oil life, don't think you need it anyway TBH
