If "better" means safer/more creature comforts/faster then I would agree but better looking & desirable? I think not
So that's why there was anywhere from a 1-3 year wait list to get one or you could get one quicker if you were willing to pay the dealer's ADM? You couldn't get one off a dealer lot until GM was building them in the fourth year. I guess we could skip calling that desirable.

well you don’t think is more desirable? As you can see there are 1000’s of people that either traded or sold their c7 for a c8 and maybe hundreds( and I’m being generous) that sold their c8 for a c7
I’ve owned vettes for the last 52 years. Still own a c2. Every generation got better. Just traded my 2014 z51 3lt 7m on a base model c8. What a car. I love it. Never thought I would be this excited. Pure enjoyment.
About 50 years for me and on my 42nd Corvette and I agree the C8 is best overall of them all.
I love hearing these stories. I am still on my first corvette. Bought my auto c5 new in 2004. Twenty years later, she is still mine. My c5 is a full bolt on with gears and converter. I need drag radials to launch it, and I’m sure the c8 launch will still beat me. My neighbor bought a 2024 3LT z51, took me out in it when it was time for launch control. Opened the manual, figured it out, and the timer in the car said 3.1 0-60. What a launch. Yes, the c8 is a blast. My c5 isn’t going anywhere. If I upgrade to a c7 or c8, I think the c5 will go to one of my boys. They are currently 11 and 13 years old.
