Scenario: You are out and about 100 miles from home. You park your C8, lock the Soler controller via the phone app and go about your business. Little while later you realize you've lost your phone completely.
Question: Can you just keep a socket in the frunk to pop off the Soler controller and resume operations of the C8?
Edit: Not awake yet and didn't read all the threads. Apparently the answer is a "yes".
[QUOTE=jay21;1608366121]Just a real quick correction. You most certaintly can unlock the pedal with the lcd box. I have done it and when I called Soler the first comment from them was " How did you figure that out." I swore it would stay with me. I figured it out in about two minutes. Also I confirmed with them that the LCD unit was not needed and I am removing mine. The other issue is that the 4 digit code can also be pulled up on that screen and put into ANY phone that pulls down the app. I have also confirmed that and experimented with other phones. Bad guys are sharp at times and can easily figure this out. Just fyi to remove the LCD unit and you are in good shape. Make sure that you do the open door thing for 10 minutes before you pull the box.[/QUO
Please pm me the answer.....I hardly use my phone...No one will know.....like what are they going to do to you...If its that easy to figure out than others will be able too
thanks

That's interesting, because according to Soler it can't be done. But since you won't tell anyone, I'd say that for all practical purposes the only way to unlock the pedal is with the app. My LCD unit has never been connected.
I installed mine over the weekend, put the unit behind the carpet behind the accelerator pedal. I ran the cable behind the plastic piece to the right of the driver and put the display in the side console. What a difference this makes, the response time (SP5) is incredible. I can't believe I waited a year to buy this.
