The Soler has no connection to the OBD2 at all. the quoted post makes no sense.

You totally are missing the point. Watch these engineers explain what is happening between taping into a 6 Volt throttle sensor does (Soler and Pedal Commander) vs tapping into a 12 Volt OBD2 port.

LOL. Someone who sells a competing product trashing the competition. Yeah, that's unbiased.

Again you're missing the point. Facts are facts. The point is when you're trying to run an apparatus off a 5 volt circuit which was NEVER designed to do so, can result in problems, complications and even potential loss of power which can result in a car accident.

Ask any competent electrical engineer about running device like that off of a 5 volt Circuit which is not meant to be tapped into like that for power. In addition, the devices has no failsafe safety features, so when they lose power they basically just throw a code and you lose control of the accelerator.

"Facts" are frequently misstated, exaggerated, or outright made up by people with an axe to grind. There are literally hundreds, maybe thousands of people on this forum with a Soler, and 1 person has posted about a problem which they claim was because of the Soler. The company sells tens of thousands of these for all kinds of cars, and if you search the internet you won't find masses of complaints about them. Those are the facts. They work, they're reliable, they don't cause problems with the cars. Those are the facts. Oh, and almost every modern small electronic device operates on 5 volts internally, and a great many on a 5 volt external supply.

Just put mine in today in about 15 minutes. I can definitely feel the difference cruising around the city and it feels great. I understand it does not contribute to any gains, just responsiveness and I can’t believe this wasn’t the first mod I did. Highly recommend it
