I'll try next time I go for a spin and return turning off the lift near the end and see if they merge.
Exactly what I have been doing, just point it between the lines.

I use the same technique employed with my 2017 "Wide Rear" Grand Sport. But have even less clearance by 2.3". Much less by 3.6" than my 2020 C8 to the garage door wood molding.
I leave the mirrors extended when pulling in and judge the driver's mirror tip to door molding leaving max ~1 1/2 inches. That assures the harder to judge passenger mirror clears. But since I am not perfectly perpendicular, the left rear fender can get close.

No issue on how far to pull in. No need to use front camera. Have been using a Laser for my wife's cars and my Vettes since we built our home 30 year ago! It's adjustable and I have the spot shine thru the windshield and stop when it reaches a spot on the dash. Can easily judge to ~1"! About $20 0n Amazon.
I like it. That's better than a tennis ball on a string!

Well as far as I'm concerned, it's not a big enough problem to worry about.

Thanks everybody!!!

Funny, when we were having our current home built in 1995 we rented an apartment for the 10 months it took. We rented two garages in the apartment complex and stored "stuff" on the sides and front. Stored the remainder of our prior house furniture we didn't use in the two bedroom apartment. They charged my weight/mo. So heavy cement etc yard "stuff" like statues, large flower pots stacked high. I had a 1993 Vette and recall pulled it in so the tennis ball hit the windshield. Just enough front clearance and rear so the door closed. I recall waiting until the ball stopped bouncing!

Kiss principle.
I still have mine and the Tape on the floor too.

I wonder what the Garagemhalers think.
