Sorry for my confusion, my information display comes up ‘this function not available’ then says shop plans? Do I get any additional functions if I buy a plan? I have careplay But not sure why it keeps asking me to buy plan..advice please

2024 cars need OnStar to get full functionality. There are different functionality levels for different plans. And there are workarounds depending on what you are trying to do. What are you trying to do?
