Generally people who buy the higher trim levels load them up with options. I think the dealer orders are also probably mostly 3LZ because they have a larger profit margin. I don't remember many 1LZ Z06s of previous generations.
Does the C8's LT3 have problems with the dash covers like the C7 and C6's of the past? I found a nice 23 C8 LT3 leather trim but kind of spooked by past LT3 stories? Need owner's input. My 2017 C7 is a LT2 and always garaged interior like new.
2020 lt3
at 4 years mark and 18k mikes my dash started to present issues and 3 months later i had to replace the center panel - now both of the doors the lower parts are having the same issues.
I have a 2020 w/3LT and it suffers from the delamination issue. About 3 or 4 areas.
I’m thinking about getting someone or finding someone that can make a tight leather dash cover. I think that would be the most economical fix and you can customize it to your liking.
thoughts?

also idk if you are aware but most of these panels are replaceable and cheap, i replaced the driver dash panel and trims and it was around 200 bucks

Makes sense. They would probably do a better job of using a good adhesive, applying it correctly, and using quality materials.
I’ve had my new Z06/3LZ for two weeks and the dash is fine……it does have 235 miles though.
My 15 month old E-Ray 3LZ with ~5000 miles is fine. So was my 4 year old 2020 C8 Z51 3LT with Natural Dipped Interior. In fact, so was my 2014 C7 Z51 3LT. You can save ~$3500 and get the GT2 Seats with 2LT interior. The ONLY reason i got a 2014 Z51, 2020 C8 Z51 and E-Ray 3LZ was interior color, Kalahari in the 2014, Natural Dipped in my 2020 C8 and Artemis in my E-Ray.
That was smart marketing on the part of GM! IF you can find an interior color you like as a 2LT get that! Yep the stitched headliner in my C8's is NICE but never look at it (have to bend mt neck unnaturally!) The "A" pilers with different material and steering wheel are nice BUT not worth $3500! It's all seat color IMO.

Have a 2020 3LT with 22,000 miles, garaged, Morello red interior & no problems..
Over the past few years this has been a popular topic. It appears that is the car sits outside in the sun quite a bit it is much more prone to the delamination issue. Some owners place a towel or windshield shade over the dash when sitting outside for extended periods. My 3LT is over two years old and I have seen no issues.
