Default Spacers

My old school opinion of spacers is to stay clear. But heard so many use them now. Brings the C8 wheel out flush with the body, for a much better stance. Thoughts? C8 Corvette 20mm Wheel Spacers | Paragon Performance

I’ve used spacers but 20mm is quite the size need to bring the flush as some have pointed out. The largest I’ve used at 10mm and 12mm.

3 years and 27,000 miles. No issues. Also ran 20mm spacers on a C6 Z06 for 14 years and 75,000 miles and many track days. No issues. Not even a wheel bearing.

I personally don't prefer spacers because they don't look natural and they look artificially pushed out (cosmetic/asthetic benefits only if I am not mistaken). Kind of like a beautiful woman modifying her lips and getting them enhanced to look more plump and juicy but looks artificial. If you don't like it, then you can always change back or if you do like it, then you have a winner for yourself.

I've also had Paragon 20mm spacers on my 2022 for 3 years. No problems at all. The spacers, and lowering it 3/4" give it the stance it was meant to have.

Hey bud, you forgot to mention your C8 model. In my case for my Z06, I opted for 20mm Hub Centric Spacers from
Wheel Accessories Parts Wheel Accessories Parts
on Amazon for $56.52. They are made of Forged 6061 T6 Aluminum and fit perfectly, no issues and are not overpriced like other brands.

Anybody tried 30mm rear spacers or have pics? Also, I saw a few youtube videos on install, are people still shaving studs for spacers installs?

I asume that you have a Z06 since anything over 25mm would require to shave the studs. I stated on a previous comment that I have 20mm spacers on my Z06 but it was an error, they are 25mm. 30mm are the thickest spacers that you can put on a Z06 with factory forged aluminum wheels (don’t try on carbon wheels, they don’t fit at all), but I didn’t feel like shaving the studs.

What brand did you use for 25mm? How does it look in person?

I got them on Amazon, they are hub centric and the best quality forged aluminum. Please click on the link above the red Z06. The tires are now flush, it looks awesome.

I used spacers on my '73. For the C8 I achieved that look with the new wheels with different offsets.

The only problem I see with Paragon Spacers is the cost. I bought the same exact spacers Paragon sells, less the Paragon logo laser etched in the side, from eBay for 1/3rd of the price.

With a little research I've used off brand spacers on other vehicles and have never had issues. That 25mm spacer looks good from the pic, do you have another shot that shows it better?

Default Spacers on 2025 stock wheels

I’m considering spacers for my 2025 C8 with stock wheels. A very reputable performance shop indicated they would need to cut the factory studs so they don’t contact the mounting pad. They recommending not doing that.

Thoughts?

They don’t have to cut the studs. They just have to shave about 1/8 to 1/4 inch angle off on top of each stud. That allows for the clearance. If you have the OEM forged rims the openings are drilled into the rim so no cutting is necessary. I have the 70th anniversary red stripe forged rims with spacers so I know no cutting was necessary.

Which wheel design do you have? I have the Q9I wheels and they required zero modification. Not sure about the newer 5 spoke design. The original twist style wheel was the one that required modification.
