Yes, I am sure you can. I for one though, would rather pay $130 / year to have them both integrated into the car's apps rather than having them run through my phone. But that's just me.

I like the reports of police nearby that are on Google Maps. The Chevy system does not do that as far as I know. Turns sown on the HUD is a good feature of the Chevy system
As someone above said, the 24s only got 30 days of data. I tried connecting to a hot spot and home wifi. It connects but says no internet available so i gave up. I use AA and it works great, really no need for the built in stuff.
For 2024, you get 3 years of Onstar basic, which included connectivity for any google apps on your system, including navigation. Your data plan is working, but Onstar has a glitch with these systems. You need to call the Onstar number, explain that you have a 2024 with 3 years of Onstar basic, but you are getting prompted to update your plan. I have a 2025 Tahoe and when the 3 month trial ran out, got the same thing. Additionally, it took them two weeks to get it working when we bought it in March, I had no nav whatsoever, unless I connected the vehicle wifi to my phone hotspot, then everything worked, but I was still getting prompted to upgrade my plan.
Fast forward three months, I let the 3 month full onstar trial expire. Sure enough, started getting the prompts again, but Nav was working. Called Onstar, they are aware of the issue and will call back in 3-5 business days. There is some reset they need to do on your profile. They do call back so just waiting for them to call, they also had to do this back in March to get it working in the first place.
Once your three year trial expires, as mentioned, just use your phone hotspot as all the google apps need is an internet connection to function.
Onstar called me back yesterday, I was not able to go through the procedure while they were on the phone so they emailed it to me. Basically did some type of reset on the system and it worked, no longer get prompted to upgrade my Onstar plan and everything that requires an internet connection works. Here is the procedure they sent (this is after they do their thing on their end), I put some comments in parantheses of what I ran into: 1. Please ensure you are logged into the google play store. Click on the play store icon from the home screen and verify. (which I couldn't do because there is no internet connection at this point)
2. If you are not logged in, please sign in / create a new account and then sign in.
3.Check hot spot, home>settings>connection>wifi hot spot, should say "on & shared with devices"
4. Check the IHU settings of their vehicle to see if location is still enabled. HOME> SETTINGS> PRIVACY> LOCATION> LOCATION ONSTAR> TOGGLE SHOULD BE GREEN
5.Perform a Vehicle Quick Start to refresh the whole IHU system.
Steps: Press and hold the End call button on the steering wheel, while in Park, for approx. 15 seconds (this is the important step)
6. Restart the Vehicle:
1. End the OnStar Call
2. Turn their vehicle off
3. Remove the Key
4. Open the driver’s door to turn off the auxiliary power
5. Close the door and wait 2 minutes or until interior light shuts off before restarting the vehicle
