Stuff happens. Its bad enough when you make a mistake that takes your life. But it’s inexcusable when you do something stupid that takes another. Drive defensively out their folks idiots who have no ideal how to operate a motor vehicle are on the roads.
When I was in high school in the early 70s we had to go to a drivers training class at school. We were taken out by a teacher and were instructed how to drive safely. The last portion to pass the class was traffic films. Three days of classes showing the most horrific crashes ever filmed. It made an incredible impression on me. We need to bring this back to schools!

Even if they were both going to speed limit (probs 55 mph) that's still a 110 mph closing speed. The same as running into a bridge abutment at 110 mph. No street car is designed to ensure the passengers survive a crash of that magnitude. Few race cars.
