It says it occured at 7:30 pm..... that's early and still daylight out at this time of year. Even if were both going 60mph on that interstate, that's like hitting a brick wall at 120 mph

Horrible! I'm from St. Louis and know exactly where that is and I do still check local news just to keep up with what's going in in STL. Usually, wrong way drivers on highway is either due to intoxication or elderly but the moment you realize you're going the wrong way get to the shoulder. This story said police were receiving calls of a car going the wrong way until getting a call of the crash so it sounds like the wrong way driver had been doing it for some time. I55 is not some less traveled highway, it is usually always busy. RIP both drivers & the C8
