I installed this a few weeks ago into my Z51 stingray and amazed by how responsive the car has reacted to the changes in the throttle controller . I have a Porsche also which maximizes its throttle response from the factory, but with this mod the car is just as responsive if not better.
This mod is a relatively inexpensive change and as advertised does not increase HP but does make the car feel quicker based upon what modes you select. I opted to use Sport 6. There are I think 64 different combinations of modes and levels along with OEM and AI. And of coarse lock out mode which will create challenges for car thieves from stealing the car by turning off the throttle completely.
I think Soler Performance has done a great job of producing this product . Actually I’m not sure why GM didn’t provide some of these features in the car to begin with especially the lock out option .
I’m curious what the reactions have been and what mode and level are most people using. Has anybody used ludicrous or drag racing mode? Frankly, I haven’t tried either mode yet.
Great mod/bang for the buck.
I set it back to zero when in for service and I notice the difference right away when I get back in and drive away in zero.
I leave it in sport 5 but keep forgetting to try the high options.
One of the great things about this is its adjustability. Everyone can find a setting that they're comfortable with, from Comfort 1 (which is basically OEM) to Ludicrous (which I think is way to dangerous for public roads - but at least one member here uses it). I've settled on Sport 4, but reset it to OEM before turning the keys over to someone else.
I've had a Pedal Commander on my F-150 for a few years and loved it. It doesn't have the "lock" feature unfortunately. That being said, I figured I'd love the Solar when I bought my C8 (I had about 500 miles on her when I hooked it up) and wasn't at all disappointed. I run it on Sport 6 and love it. Plus I use the the "lock' when I get to my office - actually any place other than in my garage. The throttle controllers really make my truck and C8 completely different rides. I'll probably swap the Pedal Commander for a Solar in the truck just to have he ability to disable the pedal.
Search is your friend. Here are several other forum threads about the controller. The gist is the only people who don't rave about it are the ones who haven't tried it yet.
Guys, CORVETTE TODAY has a Soler Engineering special promo code for you!
Use the code STEVE5 for any Soler product...their throttle controller and//or throttle body. You'll get 5% off your total purchase at www.SolerEngineering.com
It's been about a year since I installed mine. Somewhere along the way it went back into factory standard mode without my noticing. It's probably been 6+ months that way. I just put it back to Sport 8 and love it all over again!
Just a quick question, does it affect the throttle response in reverse ? Really don’t want to do a burnout in reverse
Yes, it does, but the difference in throttle response isn't nearly that dramatic. Unless maybe you set it on ludicrous 9 you're not going to have an issue.
Any reason to wait for a specific mileage to install? Or can i just hook it up when the car gets delivered with only a few miles on it? I've got a pile of parts ordered but no car yet 🤣

No real reason, unless you just want to get the feel for the car first. If you do install it right away, keep it on a fairly low setting for a while, so you don' inadvertently keep shooting past 4000 rpm.
Edit: Now that I think about it, drive the car stock for a while, even after the 500 mile break-in point. Then you'll really notice the difference when you install the Soler.
Or... you could install it and set it to OEM until your comfortable with stock. Then explore.
I confess. Today, I turned mine up from SP3 to SP5 and I liked it.
I'm of the belief that whatever power level we have, overtime we get used to it and want more.
