Back in the day, we mounted our C4 wheels backwards, because Chevy discovered while racing, that the wheels evacuated the wheel wells. I recently installed Eray style wheels, forged and polished, on my C8 Stingray. I love these wheels. They look good and are easy to clean. But the side of the car is getting dirty much quicker. It not just dust, but black rubber. When i installed the Rear wing, the back of the car got dirty quicker. That is how I know the wing is functional. I remember when the 993 911 Turbo came out, they had wheels that seemed aero functional, but they were identical on each side, so one side was backwards. These Eray wheels are side specific, and I suspect functional. Anybody know?
I'm not answering your question but do the wheels stick out a little further from factory wheels, more dirt & spent rubber on outside of wheel well. Great looking wheels though, who did you buy them thru?
Are you sure those E-Ray wheels are position specific? The Z06 OEM wheels are not. My Forgeline aftermarket wheels are location specific. You only showed one side of your car so I can't tell if they are just front rear the same or position specific (LF,RF,LR,RR).
Well you have the rock guards not sure why the wheels would cause what you’re describing. I swapped to Z06 wheels that run flush w/out spacers and I haven’t noticed the side of the car getting contaminated any quicker.

Good catch. Yes the wheels are offset more to the outside.

I do too. The ERay wheels look great and are easy to clean!

From just looking at the wheels as oriented in your pics, I would tend to believe that they would pull air outward kind of like a fan blade. Reversing them should have the opposite effect, if so.
Certainly wouldn't hurt to test. If you are still running OEM Michelin tires, they aren't directional.
BTW, I really like the look of the Eray wheels. A friend of mine has an Eray and he said cleaning them is very quick and easy.
