I am actually one of the raffle winners, so I dealt with the museum without a dealer involved. (Actually Campbell Chevy in Bowling Green is the dealer of record for raffle cars, but it's all done through the museum).
Yes, added rocker panel accents from Paragon, museum installed, as well as radiator screens through museum. Worked out fine. Very good experience.
Accommodations? We stayed at Embassy Suites - very nice.
I did the NCM delivery back in 2021 when I purchased an HTC that was unfortunately "Lemon Lawed" less than a year after delivery but that's another discussion...
I only did the museum delivery experience because my wife "surprised" me and arranged it with the dealership after purchase.
In general it was interesting but I did not repeat the experience with my recent purchase of a 2025 C8, I know many say its an amazing experience, perhaps in my case I simply caught the museum on a bad day back in 2021 since I felt the entire process seemed rushed and not properly coordinated, my car never received the "professional detail" that was part of the delivery package.
I did not arrange for any items added to the C8 prior to delivery so I can't comment on that process.
As for accommodations, the Sync Hotel that many are recommending was not available, I flew into Bowling Green the night before delivery and stayed at one of the hotels near the airport, I had no intentions to stay in the area, I started driving back home right after delivery.
We did museum delivery in May of 2024 for the Z06. Only 400 miles from home so we took a one way rental, spent the night, scheduled for a first thing delivery and drove home the day of the delivery. The museum sent a shuttle to pick us up from the hotel.
Being 100% transparent, I have never had so much anxiety in a road trip in my life. The forum can get into your head and you see threads on coolant leaks, oil leaks, DCT issues, etc., etc. I looked at my new car on the delivery boulevard, and all I could think was how many brand new parts are assembled, were they all good parts, and were they assembled correctly. I was 400 miles from home and if something went wrong while in BG, no big deal, but what if something reared its head at 200 miles from home. I don't know of any dealers, etc. The trip home was uneventful and the car has performed flawlessly for almost 4,000 miles now. But I've seen failure curves and they look like a bathtub. There are LOTS when new, then very few, and then a lot when the item is at the end of useful life. If you think about it, it's the very reason warranties are included on products. If they were new and perfect, there wouldn't be a need for a warranty.
Excellent experience. did a museum delivery experience on our C7 during the caravan. Did museum delivery on our C8 in Oct. drove back to S.C sent them a novistrech bra they installed the snaps for some protection on the way home. After I did alot of the mods to my C8 we did a museum experience delivery on it during the Bash in April was requested to have back on display, It is a great experience, the foks out there do a top notch job, and it worth every penny,, buy your bricks , become members support the museum a great organization..
My NCM experience was perfect in every way from start to finish. They truly care about customer experience & made sure my guests & I were taken care of from start to finish.
Reach out & ask their rates on installation of parts, although expect a high expense. If you can, ask for Chris to be your tour guide. My friends & I all agreed that he 'could not have been better'
Thanks for all the valuable information and advice. Upon delivery I will have about a 700 mile drive home to Southern Oklahoma.
Shane contacted me today, I am at 3300 and production is scheduled for the week of August 18...Earliest possible delivery could be as soon as the second week of September, depending on whether they are through with the extended quality checks.
I intend to have the Novistretch installed for the ride home.
Picking my 2025 Z06 on Monday Aug 11. Its on the Boulevard right now sitting in Delivery 8. This will be my first R8C delivery. Since the factory is open for tours we are taking advantage of that as well. I visited NCM in June and stayed at The Hotel Sync it was a very convenient location clean nice room with a great coffee service. Made the reservation for the pick up when I checked out.
Shane is definitely the man when it comes to the R8C program. During my June visit I met Chris he is a very nice.

Do they still give the personalized factory tour, instead of the standard group tour?

Definitely check the road conditions through Nashville & Arkansas if you plan to go through there. I ended up with 3 bent wheels when I drove to the museum from N. TX.

Sadly no I believe those went away with Covid. The factory is going to open for visitors on August 11 & 12 because of a union event. When I learned of the tour avaibilty I chose the eleventh as delivery. Z was built on July 21.

Monday will be an exciting day for you..Did you reserve an enclosed parking at The Hotel Sync?

Oh, that's awful... Was this on the Main Highways through town? Did you travel I40?

Thank you it will be. It has been a long wait since I got the call that my Z has been completed. It has been sitting on the boulevard for about a week at this point. I have checked the live stream view every day. That has been a strange feeling looking at it on the camera knowing that it’s mine. Of course the selling dealer Ciocca/Brandon Neuberger activated it in the my Chevy app. I have been so tempted to remotely flash the lights or unlock and lock the car. But I have resisted doing that so far for not wanting to draw the ire of the museum.
staff. But damn have I been tempted.
There was no need to reserve a garage spot at Hotel Sync as we are heading south back home after completing the museum experience. I looked at the garage’s at the hotel when I was there in June. They do seem tight I wondered how I going to be able to exit the car.
Hotel Sync is a good place to stay as many folks have stated. I stayed there myself and have experience with those tight garage spaces. Very little room to open the door to exit or enter the car. I waffled. I started out with renting a spot, then when I got there and saw how narrow they were, I decided not to use it. They were nice enough to say OK, we'll take that off your bill. The next day there's hail and possible tornadoes in the forecast, so again they were very accommodating and I was able to grab a stall just in case the weather got really ugly.

Thanks

Yes it was on the I40. It was night when I was driving up & could not see the mine field of potholes coming in & through Nashville. I'm honestly surprised I didn't break anything else on the car. Did need an alignment though in addition to new wheels.

That is something....
So. that was considered a road hazard.....was it covered in warranty?
My experience has been that warranty didn't cover road hazards.

I was driving my '11 Z06 up to the museum for the museum experience my wife purchased for father's day. It's the same thing you get with NCM delivery for those that didn't get museum delivery - and it's 1/3 the cost ($500)
But yes, had my car been under warranty, it wouldn't have mattered as those are road hazards - thanks TN

I hit a section of highway on the way home out of Shreveport up 49 through Arkansas. I was a couple hours out and hit a section of road that scared the crap out of me. At first I thought I'd blown a tire. I'm doing around 80 MPH at the time. My initial instinct was to slow down but I had a semi right behind me doing the same speed. My tire pressures were on the display, so I saw they were all OK. Next thing I knew I went across an overpass of a local road. All the noise went away for that split second. It was a realization it was actually the road and not the car thankfully. Maybe another 1/4 mile or so down the highway it went away. Really bizzarre.

Yeah, I would have to agree.....that is bizarre. I am hoping my daughter can make the trip with me....I am sure there is a certain level of thrill and anxiety while driving home....750 miles.
I have the NCM delivery through MacMulkin and am curious as to your experience with the delivery.
Did they, or can they, install minor accessories, for example, scrap armor bumper protector.
Also looking for accommodation recommendations.
Thanks
Tim
I did NCM through MM also and loved every bit of it.
