I have the NCM delivery through MacMulkin and am curious as to your experience with the delivery.
Did they, or can they, install minor accessories, for example, scrap armor bumper protector.
Also looking for accommodation recommendations.
Thanks
Tim
I didn’t elect to do museum delivery but will for the next one. I’ve read that there was someone who got PPF applied. That being said, I would call the museum and ask them for some locals they would recommend to help what you are looking for.
I got the front screens put on prior to pick up at my dealership. It cost about $800 ( ouch) on my 24 but was and still is totally worth it.
I did NCM Delivery last August. It was a great experience. Get with Shane at the Museum to run the accessory install question by him. Last year I shipped them a splitter to install and they did it for me. I have heard of others sending the mud guards for install prior to delivery. There is/was a small fee associated with the install of the splitter for me.
Stay at the Hotel Sync, you don't need a garage.
Shane was the POC, the NCM will add on GM and aftermarket accessories (ACS etc) for a modest fee.
The staff are top notch, one of the greatest experiences you will ever have for getting a new car.
To this day, I tell this story and remember it like it was yesterday.
Accepting the key fobs on Corvette Blvd. is like taking the oath and considered a "right of passage" to Corvette ownership.
You are entered into the membership archives and officially in the record books as being "1 owner", it is more than any dealership could ever do.
Entering the front doors and seeing My C-8 for the 1st time was an experience I will never forget, it looked like the "Holy Grail" sitting there.
Call them, they will help you out every step of the way, congrats.
I have done two R8C deliveries. Highly recommend the experience. The NCM can install numerous accessories except for tires and wheels I was told. As mentioned by 499er, Hotel Sinc is a great place to stay, they even have garages you can rent to park your new Corvette in overnight.
Is Shane back in that position? The Hotel Sync is great but good luck opening your car door while in the little cubby they call a garage. I think it was designed for Smart Cars. Sam

WheelCraft will swap out your wheels if you want something like Black Chrome like I did. After delivery drove it straight over to the motor park and WheelCraft took if from there.

Agree, the garages are rather small but better than letting your new Corvette sit outside overnight subject to rain, snow, sleet or wind damage. I used the little garage to apply Track Tape to the front and leading edges before the drive home the following day.
Repeating much of what others have already shared EXCEPT with the accommodations - an a Hilton guy, so stayed at one of their properties in town - newest one hosts many Corvettes during NCM bashes.
Rod Keller was my main POC for the experience and YES - ship to them with your delivery code and name clearly marked any/all accessories you want installed (they will NOT do any electronics like MOD4CARS nor Solar) and they do an exceptional job - for a small fee as others have mentioned.
I too had wheels shipped to the Motorsports park and the team over there with Owen did a fantastic job - NEVER trust a dealership like I did these folks.
Be sure to buy your brick for placement in the boulevard and shop for your R8C mech too ... all goes to help the NCM stay open!
Picked up mine on my eldest daughter's birthday - they knew it - and they had a birthday balloon and other "fun" stuff waiting for her to make the day about HER as much as it was about picking up our new Stingray!
You can have the tires and/or wheels changed out at Wheel Craft across the street or PPF wrap at Auto Armor across the street also. Arrangements for these additional services must be contracted with those vendors and not the NCM. The museum can make arrangements for you, but the services are with the vendors.

Oh nooooo .... something they just all did when out at the yard behind the factory!! LOL ... better to find a nice protected parking spot outside than ding the door inside a cramped space before you even get your new toy home!!!

To clarify ... Motorsports Park is on other side of I 65 but only a little over 1 mi door to door from NCM. Easy little slow back road drive ...
Auto Armor I would NOT recommend as their pricing is easily 2x what you can have done at any highly qualified exterior protection shop - they are NOT across the street but roughly 2 miles or maybe 1.75 miles down the road opposite direction from Motorsports Park. GREAT guys, nice shop ... BUT way over priced!

No, he is not.Senior Delivery Manager is Rod Keller. You can email him at rod.keller@corvettemuseum.org or by phone at 270-777-4566.
Yes, Auto Armor is quite expensive but do nice work I understand. I guess some would just like the convivence of a one stop shop before driving home. I checked with Auto Armor for PPF before R-8C but was a little too expensive for me.

When I physically visited the Top 5 selling dealers while researching and negotiating my purchase, I also visited each of their recommended PPF/Ceramic shops local to each dealership ... again, the guys at Auto Armor were very nice, knowledgeable BUT not mores than any of the other 5 shops I visited, and additional, the shops were all pretty much very equal in terms of product, technology, etc as to Auto Armor ... YET their pricing was 2x ... I opted to enclose trailer my car direct from R8C to MY detailer and that was STILL much less than using Auto Armor. My 2 cents.

I also contacted them for PPF before my R8C back in February. The quote was too high for me, and I drove back to NC no issues. Had PPF (Xpel) done for 1/2 the price along with rims ceramic coated and plus it is a local place incase I have issues. I did purchase a bra for the car to drive home, little extra protection.
I did R8C in February. Yes delivery team will install items if you order a head of time. I ordered the Scrap Armor when I placed my C8 order and it was on the car when I picked up.
I also ordered ACS composite rock guards from ACS, they shipped them to NCM and the team installed the rock guards.
Like others mentioned contact Shane in delivery and tell him what you want added. If items are in NCM store he will have you purchase the item ahead of time and he will pick up and have team install.
We had a rental car before delivery and returned it in Bowling Green. We returned it to Avis the morning of our delivery and NCM team member picked us up at Avis and ride back to NCM.
