Pretty sure that's not a Chevrolet offering, but rather a 3rd party the dealer is offering. Would probably be worth it for a 3L trim level if the coverage is good, but I'd really want to read the fine print to make sure there's no way they can wiggle out of it.

At dealer closing they offered a few " plans" fob, rim and tires, paint/leather . My wife was 0 and 3 with leather seats in my cars and she just went 0 and 4 on my 1 week old e so if it starts to rip i should be covered
Great job on the fix OP I hope this will be the only time you have to deal with that issue.
Come on GM.....Same ole' story with these leather dashes How hard is it to get with the company that you out-sourced on the dashes and figure this out. Either find a more competent supplier OR make this issue included in an extended warranty...
I rolled the dice and bought the e that had 3lz off the showroom floor , I might call my dealer and see if i can still buy the leather warranty from chevy . Living in florida doesn't help but it is garaged
It's not a high percentage issue. I had a 3LT C6 for 6 years, 3LT 2014 C7 for 4 years, a 3LT 2020 C8 for 4 years and my 3LZ E-Ray for 18 months.
My Vettes, all DDs, garaged as well but sat many days in 95+F parked in NE SC Sun. Never an issue.

GM probably doesn't pay when on Warranty. My SWAG, from experience is the Vendor pays for new dash, when needed, including reimbursing GM for the what they pay dealer to install.
After Warranty no cost to GM! From my observation it is not a high percentage issue, since my 2008 3LT C6 has not stopped me from getting 3 Vettes after with a 3LT interior because only way to get the color I wanted and no issue!
AND it's not real tanned animal hide leather. The 3LT/3LZ is probably Mulan, GM's coined name for faux leather. But although manmade it is different than "soft touch" material used for 1LT & 2LT.
Some Actual #'s: Approximately 46.4% of the 2020 Chevrolet Corvettes produced were the 3LT trim level. This made it the most popular trim level for the 2020 model year. Specifically, 9,456 out of 20,368 Corvettes built were 3LT models. For 2024 it was 40.9% = 17,560 with 3LT/3LZ.
Just from forum posts, it appears to be a very small percentage with Dash issues!
