I spent about an hour trying to get the new eng air filter on, gave up and put the old one back on. Any suggestions.
Thx
Have a How To Doc on how I changed my 2020C8 Z51 with a low restriction, oil cotton filter. Had the same issue. Did as suggested and as you did, bottom 1st but kept slipping out. I finally got it to stay in place and quickly put the cover on. I suggest “probably” could have used a thin paint stirrer to hold in place with cover ready to close. Would have helped.
Speaking of an engine air filter. Is there any reason not to get an act blue filter? I would think folks run into install issues all the same as OEM. But from a clean reuse prospective (not counting on performance), doesn’t it make sense?
If you buy an Attack from Amazon, be sure and check the brand which should be SR1 Performance. If you have a doubt about the brand, just google the brand name and ask if it's a chinese company. If you're trying to get a SR1 Performance Attack air filter, it won't be the $50 dollar version, it will be around $160 on Amazon, maybe $150 on Paragon. I'm not an auto mechanic, but after watching the videos, I was able to change the filter in around 45 minutes. The one issue I had is that I didn't have a remover for the plastic carpet hold down clips. When I install a new Attack on my E Ray, I will already have a clip remover, which should take a 45 minute change down to around 20 minutes.

Shame we have to spend good money because of bad people to protect what's legally ours.
If you are looking for Attack Blue filters and you buy on Amazon, SR1 Performance & West coast Corvette & Camaro are legit. Easy to spot. Thay have over 140 positive reviews and has "Made in the USA" in the title.
