DCT whine

Just purchased a new 2025 stingray Convertible.
The car has a whine coming from the rear of the car very similar to a rear end gear whine.
Is anyone else experiencing a Whine in their car?

All C8's have a manual transmission (electric/hydraulic automatically controlled). yes, mine also had gear noise/whine. As the transmission breaks mine got a lot quieter.

I think you left out a critical word. There, I fixed it. As far as whine goes, it's 100% normal at steady throttle around 50-65, let off and it goes away. It's a function of a final drive that's so low.

Drive the car and enjoy it, nothing wrong.

I never noticed it on my 2021, even at 4 miles. But some do report hearing it. Some say it goes away. Some have said it started later. Some level of whine may be considered normal. Excessive whine (whatever that means) would not be normal. Without hearing it, its difficult to say whether yours is normal or not. If its really loud you may want to ask your dealer about it.

My 2021 HTC currently with 26500 miles has had this drivetrain “whine” since break-in miles.
Most noticeable in manual mode 3rd & 4th gear in manual mode using paddles.
I was concerned initially checked the DCT fluid level at 3,500 miles it was okay.

Same for me on my 2024 HTC.
